Valkyrie Mythology Novels & Stories

The clouds part, and beneath me is the valley of my kin. Once, it sang with laughter. Now it screams. I hover in horror as I watch the valley below; silver scales dulled by blood, wings snapped at their joints, tails twisted in death. My brothers. My sisters. My mother with her crest of pale gold. My father, his eyes frozen wide. All still. All dead. I land, or maybe I fall. “Myriad,” I whisper, naming one. Then another. “Valka. Soren. Ereth…”

He patted his chest proudly. Bast laughed. Sobering as he explained. “She claims to be a valkyrie. I’ll be researching what that is.” *** “I’d thought that’s what she looked like.” Chavias looked impressed then his expression turned to a frown. “Best assure she eats.” Bast looked at him askance. “I believe a valkyrie must regularly eat to maintain its energy, if I recall correct.” “How in Ardae would you know that?” “My friends-and enemies are far reaching. I’ve learned much over the centuries.”

she offered, making a desperate attempt at saving her life. Olivia moved her hand in anti-clock wise direction and the mist dissipated. She then walked over to the woman and the woman pulled her hair up revealing a mark that was etched at the nape of her neck. As she inhaled the mark caught fire. As soon as she let out her breath the fire dissuaded. Olivia immediately recognized the symbol and nodded to the other two. She was a Valkyrie, an angel like creature with super strength, fast healing abilities and consents spirits around her. Valkyries were also thought to be expert at using clairvoyance, which gave them the ability to trace the history of anyone or anything by touching an object t

All three looked at the woman who was shivering badly, now understanding that she was not the culprit. “I can help,” she offered, making a desperate attempt at saving her life. he said as he started it up. “You suck,” I said, but he was apparently ignoring me. “Valkyries have cat-like reflexes, and their emotions are directly tied to lightning. They can also make a shrieking noise that can easily deafen anyone’s eardrums,” Zander said as we pulled away from the sub shop.

“Yup. So did Karma.” “I mean,” he chuckled. “If anyone was going to get into some shady shit, it was Karma. If we’d had to place bets, I’d have said Karma ended up being an assassin.” “Not too far from the truth, she is my Sergeant at Arms as well as my second,” I laughed. “So how did the Valkyrie happen? How…just how are you where and who you are?” I smirked.

Xander took a seat at the table, nodded to let Kord know he was listening. Taryk and I took our seats as well. "Recording," Atlas said. Lukas' eyes crinkled at the corners as he watched my brother. A goofy looking smile flirted with his mouth. "Valkyrie began as death maidens in service to an ancient Earth religion system's god. They were the ones to travel a battlefield and select which ones got to go to Valhalla. Essentially a party palace where they get to fight, drink, and gorge themselves until the god's doomsday appears. Then they're expected to help fight with the god to destroy the bad guys."

Then, in a moment she felt an excruciating pain in her flesh. I got badly wounded! Cybele whispered in her mind as she gaze blood on her hand. She heard him shouting her name, but her senses were slowly fading away. " Tyr..." she faintly whispered. " No...no...!" Tyr's voice was shaking as when hen he gazed at her beloved dying. Valkash's bone sword is a weapon that could kill a deity, and it was so tragic that Cybele got struck by it. A little...I can still hold on a little... I can do this! Tyr whispered to himself.

I let go of the hug, and Nick looked reluctant to let me go. "You may have heard of the name in Norse mythology; Valkyries are war goddesses. There are only 16 Valkyries in the world, and Alice is one of them." I still didn't understand. "So, she's a... goddess?" Nick chuckled softly and shook his head, "That's just a human assumption. Like vampires and Volders, they're just myths." "I don't understand."

I let out a cough and rubbed the back of my neck. “Yeah, Mom, sorry. This is Demi she is a… um” Damn, what was she called again. “A Keres” Demi answered for me. “Right, a Keres. She assists the Gods in a way kind of like a Valkyrie.” My mother nodded her head. “She was sent here by our Goddess Selene and the Dragon God Typhon to keep an eye on me.”
