“Of course.” “It’s about Valkyra,” I said carefully. “Who is she in this pack? Why do all the elders want Alpha Zane to make her Luna?” Nikolas exhaled slowly. Like this wasn’t a simple answer. “Valkyra’s father comes from the lineage of high priests of the Elder Council,” he explained. “He was once Moonveil’s most awarded Gamma General.” I listened closely. “Her late mother,” he continued, “comes from a long line of Moonveil Elder Council blood. Elder Bash is her uncle.”

Emotions had run wild between now and then; excitement, disbelief, discontent, rage, and now a thoughtful silence pervading the four walls like a thick blanket that lulls her back to the bay of sleep’s arms. Avian dips the feathered tip into the glass bottle and carefully lowers it onto the page where she had left, just beneath the grotesque sketch of an original Lycanthrope she had attempted whilst still in the throes of energy. “… Average of ten feet tall, five hundred pounds of muscle and fur that is impervious to the war instruments of man.” The high priest stands at the front left, his cheeks like emptied udders that tremble with each breath, “tapetum lucidum…” highly sensitised night v

Never even try to warn us that a traitor was in our midst, selling us out for a price I have no idea about. "Why?" I asked, my voice shaking as I recalled all that happened to us. "Why did you let that happen? Even to April." "I understand how you feel, Valerie, but I can't change everything." She responded calmly. "Then why the fuck are you, the goddess? Why do we have to worship you when all you do is sit and watch us get killed?!" I yelled, pointing my fingers at her as tears rolled down my eyes. "There are some things I can't interfere with, Valerie, but I can always make things right."

“What is it? What did I say?” Fallon spoke, “Avian Wodan was once Avian Deerling, a fae princess. She was a fine warrior, and Odin plucked her off the battlefield, making her a Valkyrie daughter. All Valkyrie daughters have the surname Wodan. It is said she later fought against the shadows in Scotia rock and died in battle. That was around 900 years ago if I remember correctly." he had a dark look on his face.

Thankful that the threads of my ankh were elastic I crashed through the high windows and landed with a heavy thump outside the castle. Now all I needed to do was shake off these Warriors. I dashed off, running for my life to the spot I had planned I would use to recuperate for the worst case scenario. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the bright flare shoot into the sky and right after the first one, there was a whole army of arrows that brightened the sky with a red hue. I had taken their Queen and they would send their entire army to bring her back. Knowing that now I was running from the whole wrath of the Lycan City my legs moved faster and sooner I was at the shack I had stashed some c

"She awakened your vanity… and your hunger." With a gesture, Valkyria summoned three women. All adults, dressed in white, eyes lowered, aware of the role they would play that night. The air shifted. Ancient power awakened. "Three," Valkyria explained softly. "One for strength, one for youth… and one to seal the rebirth." Vlad hesitated only a second. Pride, desire, nostalgia for himself, all mixed together. Then he did it, and on the third, the world seemed to explode inside him.

Kael held the door and they moved out into the dark toward Elder Lysara's chambers without another word, and Zara watched them go with the hybrid's dragging feet leaving two pale lines in the dirt. She turned back to the room. Valkyrie had shifted back and was standing in the wreckage in a borrowed shirt, rotating her shoulder with a focused expression that suggested it hurt considerably more than she was acknowledging. "The last one," Zara said. "The one we brought to Lysara before. It was strong." "Yes," Valkyrie said. "This one was ten times stronger." "Yes." "That's a pattern." Valkyrie looked at her. "What are you thinking?"

He buys slaves yearly for labor and pleasure until he buys Akira. A white slave with distinct features. I was told by my father that her features were so striking. White hair and eyes and— Suddenly, familiarity struck my imagination before I could understand. The young girl in the forest. She had white hair and eyes. She wasn't Akira, but… “Valkyrie.” I muttered, realization dawning on me like I was splashed with a cold bucket of water. The girl with those features was Valkyrie. The words kept repeating in my head like a mantra. And her father…

"I've read mythology available to me, but I've never seen one to my knowledge." "Oh you would know." Osirus said rather confidently. "They have a sweet scent. It's not pleasant though. It's almost nauseating." He paused for a moment, contemplating his next words carefully. "According the everything I've ever heard or read, is that the Royals were there not just to fight vampires in general. They were given their gifts by the Godess Selene to fight one vampire in particular. King Valerius." He cringed at the last part, as if saying his name was like saying the name Voldimort in Harry Potter. Dear god, I hope they don't possess enough power just to know when we say their damn names. "Valerius

S-Sophie is one of the legendary goddesses? "So did Sophie survive because she was half a vampire?" Clarence asked. "Yes, but it is also possible because she was a legendary goddess. Because one of the powers of the legendary goddess is immortality. " So the king said. When a creature is a legendary goddess, it means you are higher than the Queen of Goddesses. When you are a legendary goddess, it means you are the GODDESS OF ALL GODDESSES. "So it means that Sophie is the woman referred to in the prophecy? A half-vampire and half-wizard. The first legendary goddess who was a half-vampire and half wizard, and she was also the strongest of all legendary goddesses in the world." I asked, and the
