“How–How can you tell?” I ask, and the sisters glance at each other again, sharing some private, internal conversation.
“These broads are very, very old,” Lowe teases. “Don’t let them make you nervous, all right?”
“We’re not doing that, Lowe,” Alma cuts in, playfully swatting his arm. Her eyes meet mine, soft and radiant. “Blood-born vampires are always very beautiful, that’s all.”
