Callum was yelling, his voice sharp enough to cut through the chaos. Isabella reached out, her hand gentle on his arm. He turned to her, his eyes frantic.
“Callum, breathe,” she said, her tone calm but firm.
“Isabella, she’s gone, and these idiots haven’t got a clue where she is,” he snapped.
“She’ll come back. Chloe’s a vampire first and foremost,” Isabella reassured him.
Callum softened for a moment, lifting her hand to his lips. “You’re too good to me, Isabella.”
