The Alpha's Regret The Enemy's Claim

The Alpha's Regret The Enemy's Claim

I felt my stomach tighten, but I forced my feet forward. "No staff today?" I asked. "Knives," he said simply. "If you can fight with a knife, you can fight with anything." I picked one up, testing its weight in my hand. It was lighter than I expected, the handle wrapped in worn leather. "First lesson," Xavia said, stepping closer to me. "The knife is not a weapon. It's an extension of your arm. You don't swing it. You guide it." He moved behind me, his chest brushing against my back as he adjusted my grip. His hands were warm on mine, steady and sure.

His Ghost Knife

His Ghost Knife

Subtle, but I notice everything. Klaus de Luca. He didn’t see me as he entered a room alone. I didn’t hesitate. Silently, smoothly, I followed. The door was just starting to close when— CRASH! A vase flew at my head. I ducked instinctively, the ceramic shattering against the wall behind me. I straightened slowly, blade already drawn. Then I heard his voice. Low. Calculated. “So... you’re the Ghost Knife. The woman with no past. No future. Who sent you ? .”

he cut in quietly. “No, you don’t!” My chest was heaving again, but this time it was anger surging through me fast and hot. “You can’t just throw yourself in front of knives like you’re invincible. You don’t get to do something that stupid and expect me to just—just sit here and laugh with you after.” The room suddenly went quiet as he stared at me, his gaze never leaving mine. For once, there was no sarcasm in his eyes, no easy deflection. Just sincerity and remorse. “That was a wolfsbane knife Xane. Any inch deeper and you would have been gone.”

Drowning in Her Darkness

Drowning in Her Darkness

Shouted Lila as she and her mother, Luna Davene, came running from the pack house, both carrying their weapons of choice. Lila carried multiple throwing knives attached all over her body by harnesses strapped to her, each one coated in silver and dipped in wolfsbane so even the smallest cut could be deadly if left untreated. She had told me once she even had knives in her boots that would flick out with the right pressure in the right spot, and a couple wolfsbane coated pins in her hair, just in case.

My Plus-Size Best Friend Is My Mate

He squeezed her hand, then released it, stepping forward to lead the way. Darius handed out weapons as they prepared to descend. The blades were silver, with edges coated in a dark, oily substance. “Wolfsbane,” Darius explained. “It’s the only thing that will kill them. Don’t hesitate. If you see one, strike fast and don’t look back.”

More Than A Man

More Than A Man

Penn asked. "Do you want us to kill her?" Penn just stared at Vallas after he had spoken his words and didn't say anything. "Right." Vallas continued. "Too early for you to start making those decisions. Can I see the knife?" Penn handed the knife over to Vallas who inspects it. "This is a beautiful work of art." "Spare me." The Seam Mistress whimpers. "Like you would have spared my child." Vallas asked her and when she kept quiet, he went back to inspecting the knife.

Forgotten Luna

Forgotten Luna

, his leg slamming onto my arm with force. “You can’t win this alone,” Raider declared. His claws burrow into Vash’s skin. “It seems I’ll have more than enough fun for today.” Vash’s arm found its way to Raider, throwing him off balance and slamming him into the ground in one hit. Acknowledging Vash’s concentration on Raider, I drew my sword, finding my way to Vash’s back without him feeling my presence. DIE! “No,” I coughed up. “Did you think you would be able to stab me from behind?” That’s a bad choice if you ask me, Vash stated. His hand crushed my neck as he held me up.

BOUND BY ECHOES

BOUND BY ECHOES

Then closed it again. Fair point. Still… “I don’t even have a weapon.” Vance reached behind his back and pulled a second blade from his belt. Shorter than his sword. But sharp. Very sharp. He tossed it. Lena barely caught it before it hit the ground. Her eyebrows shot up. “You’re giving me a knife?” “You’ll need it.” She turned the blade in her hand. The weight felt strange. Unfamiliar. “I’ve never used one of these.” “Then today is your first day.”

ROYAL BLOOD

ROYAL BLOOD

Vashi's grip on the knife tightened, her heart racing. “I am clearly not dreaming…” she muttered as she advanced towards the shadow that was backing her; she wanted to catch a glimpse of the face of the person trying to frustrate her life. If possible, she would disfigure the face of the shadow with the knife in her hand, and the screams of the mystery person would fill her ears like a lullaby. Yes! Yes! These were Vashi's thoughts: to be free, to be able to sleep with both eyes closed…peacefully.

PHOBOS: The Beast's Virgin Claim

PHOBOS: The Beast's Virgin Claim

He heads back to the table picking up two knives different to his prior selection for their blades are pitch black in colour whilst their handles are of hardwood. "These here are called obsidian knives. These are made by peeling a long, thin sliver from the core of the volcanic glass. Sharpest knife of all." He explains as he gets himself into position at a distance from the target board. "Watch carefully, little one." Eyes closed taking a deep breath he begins to move with elegance. An elegance that catches me off guard for even as I female had none like his. Hands held above his head spine bending backwards he slowly twists his body whilst his wrists rotate the knives captured in his palms

I am back after completing it, it took me almost 2 months and couple of purchases to read it completely but it was worth it untill the last episode, I seriously can't believe a book so good has that pathetic rushed ending, completely disappointing. I dont understand what happened in end.
