Veins In Neck Visible Novels & Stories

"How... are you?" "I am... adjusting," he said, the word a vast understatement. A shadow of profound disorientation flickered in his eyes. His right hand, as if with a mind of its own, drifted to his left arm. My attention snagged there, and the air seemed to grow colder. Against the pale canvas of his skin, sickly, orange-gold veins crawled and writhed with a faint glow. They were not flat marks, but a living tracery, like lightning trapped and writhing beneath the surface, a parasite etched in light. They snaked up from his wrist, disappearing under the sleeve of his tunic. I shouldn't ask. It's cruel, a part of me thought. But another, fiercer part knew I had to. I can't help him if I'm b

"Does your neck hurt?" He touched the spot, wincing the second his fingers made contact. "A little." A cold dread washed over me. I slowly turned around to look at Jax and Lucius, who were standing a few feet back. "Your neck… My breath hitched. There, in the exact same spot on the left side of their necks, a dark, bruised patch of black veins was starting to spread. It was smaller than Silas’s, but it was definitely there.

Black veins spread beneath the skin of his neck like spilled ink. His eyes lifted toward Lyra— And one of them had turned completely silver.

Swallowing a lump in my throat, the cable tie around my neck a quiet reminder of the danger I was in, I leaned toward the passenger seat, reaching my hand downward to grab the Hennessy bottle surreptitiously. “Easy, gentle,” he crooned quietly, keeping his eyes locked on my face, “don’t try anything fun—“ I suddenly swung the bottle at his head as he was still speaking, and I got him just in time, as it smashed into his skull, the remaining content of the bottle spilling on our bodies. Swaying a little, his grip around my neck loosened, and I immediately dove for the door, trying to get out. “Somebody, help!” I screamed as loud as I could, and groaning in rage and frustration, the man grabbe

She moved toward him and stopped short when she saw the network of black veins in his neck and sides where he had been stabbed. “The poison is making its way through his system.”

I hiss and he increased the pressure on my arm and smirked. I tried pulling my arm away but it didn't work. The veins in my neck were tightening and I gritted my teeth and growled loudly in frustration. My arm started throbbing and it felt as if the circulation had cut off. I gritted my teeth, and my brain was desperately trying to figure out a quick and likely successful way to free myself.

Her cold tendrils wrapping around my throat like icy vines, choking me. I hadn’t even fallen asleep yet, but it felt like I could not reopen my eyes. I couldn’t breathe, I was choking and all of a sudden, I gasped, jolting upright from the bed. I stood up and rushed to the mirror to examine what happened to my neck. My hands clutched at my neck, and to my horror, faint red lines traced across my skin, pulsing as though freshly etched. I turned back so fast I might as well get a whiplash.

“No. I used magic and my senses to track you.” “You said our marks look similar,” I redirected the conversation. “Mine doesn’t look anything like yours. Not even close. Mine’s all veiny and it looks like there are weird symbols forming in them. It glows, too.” “Yeah?” His eyes narrowed down to my arm, covered by the sleeve of my jacket. “Can I see it? The veiny look is normal, by the way. It passes, so don’t worry about that.” “I’m glad to hear that.” I pushed back my hair to reveal my neck. “Mine almost takes up my entire neck.”

Nicole hesitated, then nodded and slipped out. I stood on shaky legs and walked to the mirror. What I saw made my hands tremble more. My wrist curled into a fist. A black vein. It was thin as a spider's thread and crept up from my collarbone toward my neck. What is that? I touched it, expecting heat, but it was cold. I didn't know what it was. I couldn't understand it. But fear crawled up my spine as I stared. I need to hide this. This is too strange.

I placed one hand on the mid column of my neck trying to stop the uncomfortable feeling. I looked at my reflection on the mirror of the dresser opposite to my bed. My skin turned paler than a white paper. Blue veins were prominent . My irises were deep crimson red. My canines extended not in wolf teeth but vampire's. It had been a long time since I had blood.
