Versatile Mage Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

Scraped knees, magic rashes, spider bites—you name it, this book fixed it. I opened the book, flipping until I found the page—“Verdant Mending.” I swallowed hard, knelt beside Dominic again, and lifted my hand above his wound. The ring on my finger thrummed with energy, pulsing like it had a heartbeat of its own. “Alright,” I whispered, steadying my breath. “You better not die on me, Dominic Bloodhound.” I closed my eyes and drew in the magic from the air. It tingled on my skin, rushed into my blood, and swirled at my fingertips. I let it build until my palm started to glow, golden flecks flickering from my skin like sparks of starlight.

Finally, he steps aside, gesturing for me to enter. The room is dark, lit only by the flickering glow of enchanted flames. The air is thick with the scent of burning herbs and old magic, a cloying mix that makes my head spin. I collapse onto the stone floor, my body trembling uncontrollably as the mage begins his work. He chants in a language I don’t understand, his hands weaving intricate patterns in the air. The pain doesn’t subside; it intensifies, waves of agony crashing over me until I’m gasping for breath.

The circle flared beneath her, violet and silver colliding, then settling into a steady pulse. “She won’t escape this,” she said. Her smile was thin, sharp. “She won’t have the chance.” I lifted the crystal. Its glow bled across my knuckles, eager, hungry. The mages stood ready, cloaked and silent. Chloe’s eyes gleamed in the torchlight. The whole chamber seemed to lean toward me, waiting. I closed my fist around the crystal and whispered, “Come.” The stone flared white-hot, searing against my palm, and the tether unfurled like a thread cast across the void.

The book was somehow thick. Naomi's eyes were glued into a specific word in the cover. Mage? Just like how there are records about the night market in the first five books, there are also records about mages as well. Being a mage is a noble occupation, much more noble than merchants. In order to become a mage, one should have a lot of resources like herbs. The farther one goes towards the step of becoming a mage, the higher the resources they need. It was extremely costly that some people who have decided to walk the path of becoming a mage, especially those from common families, decided to give up due to the lack of resources.

With a deep, Minotaur roar he surged forward, raising his large axe with the intent of cleaving the Mage nearest him. Zalikhe turned at the sound of his roar. She sent a strong burst of mystical energy at him. It struck him in the chest, and the tall warrior stumbled. She cast a second one and he stopped, tumbling forward in pain, as the axe fell heavily to the ground. He was unable to rise with the pain racing through him. His dark eyes narrowed in frustration as he saw the Mages heading through the doors with their prize. His frustrated roar echoed across the grounds.

He has always shown a frail and stupid appearance to deceive his foes and so that nobody could prevent his plan from succeeding. Without a word, Lila showed us the result of her drawing. I couldn’t repress my discomfort that I was swept back behind the mirror. The first thing that a mage learns is to keep focus so that the spell wouldn’t break down, but I made a beginner’s mistake. As I looked back, the difference in the sphere’s colour bothered me, it was a perfect dark purple, but right now it turned into a completely black, plunging me into a darkness that I didn’t expect.

Causing the haze of the Dragon Rage to leave me. I lower Lance to the ground; he topples and barely manages to remain standing as I let him go. I can feel my body changing back, and as I return to my normal self, I keep my eyes locked to Drake’s so that I can see is reaction in full. I’m not disappointed. Mitne I will ignore the steps for now. I am curious to learn how this moon magic works. There has to be something here about that since the scroll I just read made the stairs appear with the beautiful door. I took a deep breath and my hands picked up another scroll. I took a deep breath and rolled the scroll open. What luck, it is the next chapter to the one I was just reading. Chapter 15: The Lycan's Luminous Revelation

The berserker demon is a black charred mass and the mage is on the floor, howling in pain. “Heh, I overestimated”, I say as I walk towards the mage curled up in a ball, nursing his wound. I’ll ask you again, answer and I’ll let you go with at least one limb. Who sent you?” He turns around and tries a last ditch effort to attack. “Blood Demon Magic: Death’s Grasp” . A black mist covers both of us. “ I’m taking you with me, mage!”. I sigh, and snap my fingers, “Sowilo” A miniature star the size of a soccer ball forms , burning the mist away, and the mage too. The dimension starts fading away, as I walk to go buy what I wanted before.

"One of our courses is to follow the different tales that are unfolding across the territories. Your's just happens to be the most interesting since you're actively involved in several." "And we don't get to meet the heroines that often." Kayleigh added. "When Reva told us you were coming, we all knew we wanted to greet you. You're kind of a legend." Me? A legend? I was barely holding my own life together with all these different twists and turns. "So who are they?" I pointed at the council, who remained completely silent. "The one man up there is Robbie. He's the highest level mage in our chapter here. And the appointed representative."
