Very Short Bedtime Stories Novels & Stories

I spent the next half-hour weaving a silly, magical story about a brave knight with a shield made of silver and his loyal queen who protected the kingdom of the glass mountains. Jim hung on every single word, occasionally interrupting to ask if the wolves ate pancakes or flew through the air. By the time the story ended, Jim’s eyelids were drooping heavily, and his yawns were coming one right after another. "Alright, little knight, time for bed," I whispered, picking him up in my arms. He buried his face sleepily against my shoulder, barely stirring as I carried him inside and tucked him into the cozy wooden bunk bed in the back room, leaving a small nightlight glowing in the corner.

Just like the Sun. I remember the story from my childhood. My favorite story my mother used to read to us at bedtime. I couldn’t help but reminisce. *** “Mama, can you read us a bedtime story?” Leena said while we were preparing to sleep. Mama couldn’t see me and I just kept listening. “What do you want to hear?” Mama smiled. “Leena, I like that story of The Sun and The Moon,” I said and Leena smiled with excitement. “Mama, we like The Sun and The Moon!” Mama nodded and smiled softly.

“Seriously Ashley, I might get upset if you go through my messages.” “Dumb boy messages, just let go of me, I don't care anymore.” “Promise?” “Yeah.” She scoffed and he did, she didn't try taking the phone again and he lay beside her. “You should be sleeping, it's late already.” “I know and am exhausted, but I can't seem to fall asleep. Can you tell me a bedtime story?” “Bedtime stories are for kids, not twenty-one-year-olds.” “Just tell me one.” “Okay, I don't really know much so how about I tell you the story of a demon who has lived for over a thousand years.”

He tried to soften his usual cold and deep voice, so he slowed down again, “One day, a little mermaid...” “Daddy, don’t you know how to tell stories?” The little girl flattened her lips as she muttered, aggrieved, “Nellie’s Daddy is so powerful, but he can’t tell stories...” Joshua fell silent as he sucked in a deep breath. “Let’s not listen to stories. Just go to sleep, okay?” “Not okay…” Tears started to roll down the Little Princess’s cheeks. “If I don’t listen to a story, I’ll get nightmares…”

I wasn’t used to searching bedtime stories and didn’t really have an idea of what kids would like, so I chose the first story that came up on the internet, not really focusing on what it was about, but in the end, it did turn out to be an interesting story about friendship, as explained by two cute bunnies. "Did you enjoy the story?" I asked when I saw how drowsy Hayley looked. "I did…" Hayley said with sleepy eyes. I smiled, glad that reading her a bedtime story had been successful. I brushed her hair gently, making sure she was comfortable and warm. As her eyes started to droop, I turned off the light and whispered a goodnight prayer. "You'll sleep peacefully and with no fear. No monsters

I said assuringly. “No. I don't wanna stay alone." She begged, dragging my wrist. Realizing that there was no other way I could leave the room, I came up with an idea. ‘I’m going to tell her a story until she falls asleep!’ "Okay, Marissa, you know what? I have enough stories to tell you, tonight! Do you wanna hear it?” “Yes!" She answered enthusiastically. "Then, climb into bed ASAP!” I said eagerly as both of us crawled into bed, throwing the covers over us.

Story Note: “Room for One More” is a standalone short from my erotic collectiona mix of intense, sensual, and sometimes forbidden stories that explore the raw edges of desire. Each story introduces new characters, new fantasies, and unapologetically explicit encounters. This particular tale features a taboo dynamic between step-siblings, told with heat, dominance, and no holding back. Reader discretion is advised. *************************************************

Eventually I managed to get everyone settled back into bed, or at least I tried. “Luna?” I looked down. Jordan’s little fingers tugged at my sleeve “Can you stay until we fall asleep?” Another immediately joined in. “Please?” Then another. “Tell us a bed time story!” I stared at their hopeful faces. A sigh escaped me. I never really stood a chance. An hour later, the dormitory had finally gone quiet. Soft breathing filled the room. Tiny bodies curled beneath blankets. Anna slept beside me with one hand still clutching my sleeve.

She patted his head like he was her oversized baby, repeating herself when Damian shook his head happily. "What's that?" He lay down, wrapping his arms around her legs. He moved her hand from her belly to his head. "Tell me." 'God, baby, your dad is jealous of you.' As she stroked his hair, she began telling the tale. "It's a children's story. You really don't know it, love? It's about a rabbit who races against a turtle." The book she was holding was a collection of classic fables-popular bedtime stories or early reading practice for preschoolers. The short text, accompanied by bright illustrations, made it easy for kids to enjoy.

A subdued silence enveloped the fireplace after Shango’s story, interrupted only by the occasional chirping of the night crickets. “That does not count as a bedtime story,’’ Babybaby finally found her voice. “It is child,’’ the thunder god answered. “No it’s not’’ Babybaby insisted quite stubbornly. “bedtime stories are supposed to be a nice tales with happy ending, all bedtime fairytales are, like the ones Amaka used to read to me, this one is a stupid story.’’
