Melody’s P.O.V. A deep, rumbling growl shattered the silence behind me. I spun around in time to see Don-already in his massive black wolf form-tackle two fully grown lions with a violence that shook the ground. Golden fur and black shadow clashed in a whirl, sending dust flying upward as if stirred by a storm. The lions roared, shaking tarmac beneath my feet, their claws slicing through dirt, but Don stood firm, muscles rippling with every strike.
