Vow Of Deception Novels & Stories

Dream on. "And by the way, the pregnancy was fake. I lied to you. What are you going to do about it? "Other than me, who else would even want a stray dog like you?" Wyatt trembled with rage. He raised his hand, ready to strike her. However, when he saw the fearless look on her face, his hand dropped to his side weakly. Yeah… what did he even have left now? The truth was, no one believed the Sterling family could recover anymore.

I felt like I needed it right now. Finally, my nerves calmed to normal. I offered him a nervous smile, and he responded with a flirty eyebrow raise. “Misunderstandings, um, Alpha, they are at the very base of all deception. No deceiver can be queen,” Elder Sybil added in a measured tone, setting her palms flat on the table. “The red wolf…” Elder Victor raised, shifting in his chair. “She is th…” Connery cut in adamantly, rising from his chair. “I am,” I stopped Connery, glaring at him. I lifted my chin a fraction, and then I swayed my gaze at Victor and corrected, “I was.”

Why would I risk my husband's wrath after that? To Alton's knowledge, I'd never lied to him. In many ways, I believed he thought himself above my deception. What the great Alton Fitzgerald didn't realize was that I'd been taught to deceive by the best. When I finally broke off my relationship with Oren, it was for one reason: I wanted more of him—his companionship, his adoration, his love. I wanted a life unlike anything I'd ever before known. I wanted it more than I wanted anything else.

However, within me lurked a deceitful side that couldn't ignore the powerful bond between us and how my body reacted to him despite my internal anger. I hugged myself tightly, attempting to rid myself of his presence, but it proved futile. What is the most dreadful aspect? I had given permission for it. Each time, I promised myself I would resist and push him away, but in the end, I allowed him to overpower me. And, with God's help, I desired it.

"Is that so? If your investigation was thorough, then you should know that the mistress's pregnancy was a sham. You should also know that I didn't push her; she feigned the fall, using a blood bag to orchestrate a massive bleeding illusion." Yannie's lips parted slightly in astonishment. Julia's words left her utterly perplexed. "Godmother, don't be swayed by her words. She's concocting falsehoods to exonerate herself. Everyone present at the wedding witnessed her pushing that woman herself. What nonsense is this about a fake pregnancy? If the woman were truly faking it, why would the CEO of Ross Group insist on being with her? Could Carter be blind?" Cameron whispered insidiously into Yanni

“We vow and there’s something within us that… ties us to our words.” Cara’s head snapped back. “You can’t lie?” I snorted. “Oh, I can lie. Wolves can all lie. We have to. It’s the only way to hide ourselves from the world. No, what I meant was… if we really mean a vow, it becomes a part of us. That’s what was happening last night with the guys and Natalie. The vow was settling on them. Becoming a part of their skin. Something they can’t deny.

They all stared back at me with different looks on their faces. Alannah leaned closer to Ternen. “Will the vow hurt?” I shook my head. “No, it’s just a vow to the goddess to keep whatever we say here secret, even under threat of command or death.” Alannah paled. I reached through the middle and held out my hand. “Don’t be scared. It doesn’t mean you will face death. It just means the goddess recognizes your sincerity for secrecy and she makes it so that we can keep our secrets.” I smiled back at her.

“What vow?” The false bride narrowed her empty eyes. “Say these words: I choose obedience over love.” Vincent jerked his head toward her in panic. “Don’t say it! If you do, you’ll lose me.” The chains tightened around him, cutting into his skin until blood flowed freely down and his face twisted in pain. “Camela…please…” he muttered through pain. Tears filled her eyes. She reached for him, but the flames pushed her back. The false bride stepped closer, raising the white book high above her head. “Say it. Say it, and he will live.”

"You two would answer the few questions we have for you then we can decide what the judgment will be." He picked a piece of paper from his table and raised it. "Do you know what this is?" "Yeah," Gwen and I answered, but her voice was a mere whisper compared to my loud response. "So, you agree that you committed a crime of deception and that you lied against the great Lunar power which is a great sin. The Moon goddess could afflict our community with multiple woes, troubles, and challenges, casting shadows of uncertainty because both of you turned something as sacred as mating into a joke."

Eli tried to say something but Jennie cut him off "If anyone of you dare cut me off once more than i am gonna cut your tongues so zip up those fucking mouths and listen!........." Everyone virtually zipped their mouths "I can't tell because.....(Jennie closed her eyes and gathered all her courage) The promise i made was vow" Gasp escaped from everyone's mouth once they heard Jennie's confession.
