Blood And Water

Blood And Water

I knew for sure I was going to drown if there was no flash of miracle. What was I even thinking? Swim to town… I went down again, then came up trying to keep my stride alive. Stream water was a hydro-oxygen sodium chloride. I just kept on struggling, somewhere from a distance, I could hear Papa's voice saying “Keep on struggling son, it’s not over” his comforting words trying to erase my misery. He always had words to motivate a drained spirit. I just kept on striding though I knew that it was of no use. I went deep again my eyed closed as enveloped my ears. I gasped for breadth but caught none in return, by body shivering in response to the cold water, my eyes were becoming hazy, probably d

My Seven Gorgeous Women

My Seven Gorgeous Women

Beneath their feet was a water surface that would not sink. Initially startled, Willow's group activated their techniques to float above this mysterious water surface. However, seeing Chase walking on it normally, they descended as well. They discovered they could walk directly on the water. Even when stomping forcefully, they could not make a splash. Looking around, they found the place seemingly endless. No mountains, land, buildings, or celestial bodies were visible. Only a gray, hazy sky and the mysterious water beneath their feet. "This seems to be some kind of special barrier."

Beneath Blood and Water

Beneath Blood and Water

The walk to the next town was not stressful as it was dull; the pure absence of noise drilled into my soul. I had worried about a lot of things: the possibility of the director still searching for my corpse, the cops stopping me and asking for ID or just possibly dying from a stray car hitting me. But I did not expect what could do me in was the lack of noise. The splash of water… The dragging of his tail on the stone floor… His singing, although it had no magic power- or so he says- put me in a trance.

The Alpha King’s Gifted Mate

The Alpha King’s Gifted Mate

After the alpha’s speech, we were led outside. The silver moon shone brightly as I and the others walked through the Oval garden to the lake. They took their baths one after the other until I was the only one left. I took a shaky breath and tried to reassure myself, 'You can do this Mel, it is just water.’ As I walked into the water, I kept repeating my mantra. I stopped walking when I was knee-deep in the water. I could see the iridescent glow of the full moon drawing me in slowly as I stared at the water's surface. I could not take my gaze away from the reflection, and then I felt it. My body felt as though it were on fire from an indescribable heat that was drawing within me.

The hunted mate of the Lycan Kings

The hunted mate of the Lycan Kings

Even to be prepared for these great men, I am going through these horrible things. My bare feet had a carnage going on in them. The blood that had accumulated from the long walk was beginning to be washed away by the water and pattered on the cold floor. It was better if I was left to drown in the deepest part of an abyss, subject to the wash of some hydraulic action, or left to die with rocks crushing me.

The Underworld Trials of Luna

The Underworld Trials of Luna

I must have slipped away. Because why else would he be here? Death – death was holding him back – there’s no way he could have escaped - So, this must be a ghost of a ghost, walking forward towards me through the water. Because how else would he do it? How else would he just walk through the water, instead of swimming like a damned normal person? Tony smirks at me, his hands in his pockets, coming close. He shakes his head and looks at me in that way I love, like he thinks that I’m fantastic.

awesome continuity... please if you continue for the other characters, show it in the description like you did for the book 2. there's another book with the same names of Ellie and Dominic and I was confused. I really hope there's a Rafe and Mark book.

The story-line carried well throughout the entire book until the ending. The ending seemed abrupt, rushed and lacked content/drama that could have been built for additional spin offs and left too many things unaddressed.

The last omega

The last omega

But it’s all I have. I push myself to my feet, swaying a little before finding balance. My boots squish as I step back into the water, cold seeping into my skin again. The current tugs at my ankles, urging me east. Maybe it’s the right way. Maybe it isn’t. I don’t know. But I walk anyway, each splash loud in my ears, each step a fragile rebellion against despair.

The alpha's human mate

The alpha's human mate

‘A wet shirt is okay to walk in’, I convince myself. I step into the water and walk towards Simon. I’m mid-thigh into the water when I reach him, but I walk past him and lower myself, immersing myself to the shoulders, shivering slightly from the cold water. As I rise back up from the water, I turn to look at him and barely stop a gasp from escaping my lips.

The Faye Queen

The Faye Queen

He replied. I brought my wolf forward and took a feel of our surroundings. "The island is abandoned. We need to find a mode of transportation." Our speedboat was ruined and I couldn't see a single part of it around here. "How did you get here?" I asked Javier. "Through water. Let's go." He replied and then started walking towards the ocean again. Although confused, we followed him. When we reached the water, instead of our feet dipping in the water and stepping on the sand, we started walking on the water surface. The surface we stepped on turned solid and the second we stepped forward, it liquified again.

i highly recommend this book and the pre-quel, Lycan King. I fell in love with the story and I’m hoping the author continues it. I was so engaged in reading that I laughed, cried, feared, and prayed for the characters! I’ll be following this author looking forward to MORE! Must read!!!

The Forgotten King

The Forgotten King

No, this felt too real, too personal. Questions like these overcoming my head. So much so that I didn't even realise that I could hear water running. Walking to the noise I move past some big trees, their barks standing tall and proud. I walk over to the flowing water, bending down and splashing my face with the water.
