‘Sure,’ Miller said, the tumbler disappearing into his beard again. ‘Whose side are you on?’ Miller paused in thought before answering. ‘I’ll tell my tale and leave you decide that one,’ he finally said. ‘Deal?’ ‘Deal,’ Lucas agreed reclining in the sofa as Miller began his story with a cautionary caveat. ‘You might well ask: Why am I telling you this?’ Miller said. ‘It is a burden—that is the simple truth. And the young should be the ones to hear it for they will be the ones to remember and ensure it never happens again. The horror of it never fades, not with time, or with the tellin’ of it.’

“We have to work.” Roy Miller, Clarence Williams and Frank Peters were three mercenaries who had been hired by Richmond to carry out the development and subsequent detonation of a bomb in the heart of New York, simulating a terrorist attack. "Everything happened outside of our plan. You almost killed us all. You know, it's a wolf den?" "Oh, God!" Jonea said while straightening her aching back and legs. "Thank you, Miller. Because you came and saved me." Miller shook his head gloomily. "It was all Mom's idea. She forced and convinced me to come. Mama thought maybe if I came to school, it would help to restore my memory." Jonea and Marlyn fell silent. They barely thought about how Miller was feeling right now. "Are you okay?" asked Jonea, holding her brother's hand.

This isn’t fair, why is Jimmy still suffering, he has suffered enough in his life. “Now Ms. Elisa, would you like to tell us about Mr. Miller’s devious plan that you could no longer be a part of?” He paused a little before asking. “Well, he got into a fight on the street with someone, after which he came home and told me that he had a perfect plan to not work again ever and have a lot of money. I told him this doesn’t feel right but he didn’t listen to me so I went along with it. But my conscious wouldn’t let me rest so I had to end it and speak the truth.” Conscious? Really? She is talking about conscious?

His movements were scary, his face a mask of absolute, murderous calm. And there was Miller. The man who had haunted my nightmares for a decade. He flipped it open emotionlessly, before opening his mouth to speak. "On the eighteenth, Wesley Miller filed a report that his family company had been scammed off him, which led to his parents' consecutive deaths. The report reached the city handler's office, and there was no news after that. Mister Miller filed two more reports after that asking for help, but both went quiet after reaching the city handler's office." Hugh's sweat trickled profusely, dripping onto the floor.

He was moving his neck from right to left side to stretch out the neck. He looked at Miller taking a seat in his sight. “You know the rules how to play this games, Javier!” Miller rubbed and twisted his right fingers. He stared at Javier, a young man who turned his sight down to the floor. “If Knight Richard hadn’t known anything about our alliance, it would have been easier for you to become our whistleblower but…” Miller crossed his legs and played hard to read as his eyes were dazzling a tricky mind games to Javier, a young wolf man who was ambitious to achieve alpha rank from his blood brother. “It’s going to be difficult for you to trace that a half wolf woman…”

Time seemed suspended inside. Miller circled the table once before finally pulling out the metal chair opposite Hart and sitting down. He didn’t speak right away, only watched him. Hart sat still, staring down at the table like it might open up and swallow him. His breathing had slowed, but his jaw remained tight. The street-tough bravado had begun to crack beneath the weight of the inevitable. “You’ve been running a long time, Hart,” Miller finally said, his voice low and steady. “But that run’s over.”

Mike Millers face showed that he was ashamed, scared and angry. He hit his fists against the glass making a noise in the courtroom. "I did it for us!" he shouted. His voice was breaking. "I wanted to give you a life, Hannah Miller! I wanted to give you everything! I was thinking of us!"

A few of his subordinates inquired fearfully, "Mr. Miller, what now? Shall we inform the master?" Jimmy Miller was at a loss. When he had accepted this job, he had confidently told his grandfather that he would settle this easily and get revenge for his cousin. But he had suffered heavy casualties, even his own hand was broken. If he returned now, his grandfather would surely think he's useless!
