A week had passed since Lila first set foot in the Harrington manor, and already, the enormity of her responsibilities had begun to weigh on her. As Lady Victoria Harrington’s new lady-in-waiting, she was expected to cater to every whim, no matter how trivial or demanding. Victoria was a woman of impeccable taste but little patience, and her disdain for those beneath her social class was palpable. Lila had quickly learned that any misstep, no matter how small, could lead to swift and merciless retribution.

Quilla pouted and blocked his way. Matthew had no patience for this pretentious woman and coldly said, “Move.” Quilla froze, then stomped her foot. “Mr. Grant! What are you saying? If you keep treating me like this, I’ll be angry.” “Move,” Matthew repeated. His eyes were so cold they could freeze her in place. I couldn't have done this without you." As we waited, I observed the other women in the room. Some were heavily pregnant, their bellies protruding like ripe watermelons. Others, like me, were in various stages of pregnancy, their baby bumps just starting to show. The room was filled with a sense of anticipation and shared experiences, a silent understanding that we were all here for the same reason – to ensure the well-being of our unborn children.

She heard the doorbell, she got excited and stood up from the sofa. Whenever the doorbell rang, she thought it’s Viren and got excited, but always got disappointed.

As soon as Landon swung open the door to the pack offices, he saw Jana. Jana was Andy’s mate. She had a dark chocolate skin tone that was barely a shade lighter than Andy’s with long curly black hair. Jana was honestly a saint and not only the mother of two kids, but she also acted like the Luna of the pack. Landon’s pack had known ever since he took over that there would be no Luna, so Jana volunteered to take on the responsibilities as the Beta’s mate. Now that Landon has found Brooklyn, though, that might all change.

Wanda's legs were involuntarily shaking as she kept blinking her eyes at the object in her left hand. And soon, it was about time to see the result. She closed her eyes tightly before gradually opening it to see what her fate was.

The uncertainty hung precariously in the balance. Valerie's gaze remained fixed on the test stick, her heart suspended in anticipation.
