Access is given through our eyes or biometric screening which is done before formal entry into the barracks. The walls of our room are lined with holographic displays, providing real-time updates on our mission objectives, tactical briefings, and personal communications. We also have access to Vortex's personalized AI assistant, EVE, who helps us manage our schedules, training, and equipment.

The walls bowed inward like they were breathing, and while it was easy to conclude all of these things were happening because I was tired, I knew better. I bit down on my lips, probably jars enough to draw blood, but I didn't stop. The edges of the vision frayed and curled, before breaking apart at the last minute. You opened the door one too many times, I reminded myself. It always came with a price, but never in a million years did I think I was going to start experiencing it now. Not yet. “Cain.” I blinked awake at the sound of my name. I wasn't sure how long I was out for, but definitely long enough for my vision to transform my space into something entirely different.

“When the time comes.” He lifts his hand and presses his fingers against my forehead. Heat floods my skull, but not pain. Memory and magic. Visions crash into me: A wolf wrapped in flame standing at the mouth of a burning forest. A woman with eyes like Zenith’s, cradling a newborn wrapped in silver light. A throne made of obsidian, cracked straight through the middle. A war. A kiss. A howl that splits the sky. And then, his voice, soft again. “Awaken, Crownless One.”

The girl looked into the visor of the Human Base Tech, seeing only emptiness in those eyes. Assessment day has always been Squad Alpha's favorite day. While they were never allowed to give an opinion before, they were asked to help with the challenges. Most of the challenges were normal, like sparing, agility tests, stealth, and target practice. Though a few were a bit more unique. There is a game called Prey-Hunter, lung capacity test, or Aeon's personal favorite and current objective; Wake Up Call.

Chapter 6 Eve The fateful day I'd been waiting for dawned bright and clear . . . yet, there was a heavy feeling in my heart. Palpable excitement throbbed in the air, as people went about getting ready for the preparation of the upcoming launch. The company was launching their first ever simless mobile phone and the team and I, had worked on it for some time now. We were the brains behind it, and as such, it was a particularly exciting time for us.

After a couple of hours , and some hunting I shift back quickly, get dressed and head in ready to retire for the night and hopefully get some sleep . Waking early the next morning i felt a lot better , feeling rested with some sort of plan formed to try catch the sick fuck whos taking these teens , and hopefully find them unharmed but somethings telling me it wont be quite as easy as i hope for . I arrived at the war room just before 6am , and an omega came in with a pot of fresh coffee. “ thanks Alice '' I say as she bows and leaves . I open the mind-link requesting that my Beta and head warriors join me .

Jevro answered as he accepted the food that a maid placed on his plate. "Can't they think of anything else but to spar with me? I've only been awakened for two days, no, three days, for goodness sake." I exclaimed to him before thanking the maid who gave me breakfast. "Oh yeah?" Jevro answered meaningfully while giving me a meaningful look. "Well, you're correct. It's just, what can the department do if the person who was awakened for three days can kill a monster with just one move. While the combined forces of the first team struggled. Can you blame the American representatives if they are interested in your "three days awakened"?" Jevro emphasized the words "three days awakened".
