Scott and I had been together for years, so we understood each other like the back of our hands. I did not know if we had any more spies in the headquarters, so I had to be careful. Although I knew that nobody would be able to eavesdrop on our discussion when I was around but I did not want to be careless. Adrian only laughs, babbling something I don’t understand. “Aww, such a daddy’s boy.” Skye teases, taking Stephanie into her arms. “And little princess is mommy’s girl.” I tease back. “Of course she is.” Skye grins cheekily, letting Stephanie play with her teddy bear. I was not even enjoying the trip in the new pack. “What are you planning, Scott?” I whispered under my breath, my words meant only for myself but laced with suspicion. I reasoned that he heard me. Anguish and despair intertwined in my chest as Tyler hired a private detective in the hope of bringing Hope back to us. In a moment of desperation, I decided to go to the ice cream shop, where we had been before Hope went missing. The manager, understanding the gravity of the situation, agreed to show me the security camera footage. Watching the recordings, I saw the familiar scene: Hope playing with other children on the playground. However, despair overcame me when she began to move away, as if drawn by something. The manager zoomed in on the mysterious figure appearing on the screen, revealing a hooded man with red eyes. My heart froze as I realized it was a werewolf.

Sarah was waiting for Chloe near the river which was not very far from Chloe's home. When Chloe arrived face to face with Sarah she told her that she was ready to her whatever she had to say to her. "I'd rather show you." Sarah said to Chloe. As the night came, the moon slowly appeared and Sarah soon turned into a werewolf under Chloe's shocked eyes. Sarah howled at the moon three times and got a response as another werewolf's howl heard from far distance.

“Don’t you understand? I’m doing this for you.” Just when Jacquelyn was about to hit me again with the wooden plank, the front door suddenly opened. The door slammed against the wall creating a loud booming sound eventually stealing everyone’s attention. The moonlight coming from the doorway shone brightly that it took a while for our eyes to adjust and from there, for the for the first time ever, I finally saw a werewolf. A real-life werewolf. It was Mr. Lykaios. I couldn’t tell it from his appearance but I could clearly smell his scent. His face was covered in gray hairs as well as his chest and arms and he had hairy wolf ears. He was snarling and I saw fangs instead of teeth.

My wolf was alert, sensing no werewolves near the cafe. And how’s that possible? Then I observed the herbs around the cafe, which are used to hide the smell of the werewolves as well as vampires. I pushed the door of the cafe and immediately the two new scents of werewolves hit my nose while the rest of the five scents were familiar. And the moment my eyes landed on Aurora and her minions, I knew I was in trouble. I turned quickly to run but I came across an unknown face with a very tall muscular man with scary blood-red eyes that seemed to see straight through my soul.

The man’s eyes flickered with something. He seemed to be doubtful; as slight confusion swirled in his eyes. Asteria’s body jolted as their eyes met and the man retracted his gaze. A frown made its way to Asteria’s face. She looked unsure. “Scram.” One simple word was said. Asteria’s eyes were wide open as she witnessed the silver wolves backed away, running as fast as they could with their tails tucked between their legs.
