A Prisoner Of The Alpha Wolf

A Prisoner Of The Alpha Wolf

And Clarissa had the same expression, with his mouth set in a hard line, the eyes wide with fear, and the scurrying legs reminding me of the cartoons humans had grown up with which Alpha and Kit introduced us to. Not that the pair were human, but they’d lived and worked with them, and those animated figures were always dashing off in a cloud of dust. But Alpha and his friend called it a cultural touch point, something that resonated with humans and reminded them of their childhood. That was becoming increasingly relevant for us as we were interacting with humans. We would always be a bear den, but to market our services and provide excellent customer assistance, we needed an insight into how

She lit up. I mind-linked her. "So we are hunting a bear?" "Yes, we will have eight of us. More than enough for a bear, and I want a new hide." Kimi added speaking and signing at the same time. "Kaya, they don't know how to hunt. How do we expect them to take on a bear? They won't know how to avoid the claws and the bite; Goddess, you know what damage they can do." Helen looked white as a sheet and said, "I don't want to get a bear." Mark added, "Yeah, I think that may be out of our wheelhouse, at least for now." Kaya's face fell.

FATED TO THE ALPHA MATED FOR ETERNITY

FATED TO THE ALPHA MATED FOR ETERNITY

“A real date. Like a damn human. You should’ve just called her in the parking lot and been done with it.” The second he’d walked through the door last night, his pack had descended on him like a bunch of mother hens. He’d barely had time to shake off the run-in with Joe before the questions started flying. Having a bear shifter that close to their territory wasn’t ideal. Where there was one, there were usually more, and bears had a reputation for good reason. They weren’t exactly known for keeping a tight leash on their animals. Once the human side lets go, things could turn ugly fast, limbs lost, property destroyed, pure chaos. Wolves at least kept their heads, even in fur. Bears? Not so mu

Bound by the Alphas

Bound by the Alphas

She squeezed her legs together as she looked at me, which gave me a curious feeling. That is, until the distinct scent of her arousal wafted into my nose, making the animal within me purr. Christ, get it together, Harley. The class was hard, but as we approached the strength training section of today's course, I found myself relaxing just a little. I’m sure I’ll have to help Anila, this was her first strength training course, and being as new to this world as she was, I didn’t expect much from her. Bears were notorious for their strength. We work at it from a young age so our bodies will be ready for our first shift. Strength didn’t always come naturally to us like it did with wolves so this

The Witch's Window

I smiled as Koda and my dad started working on getting the bear kingdom together for my shift tomorrow night. I was so excited to finally get to know more people from that species. Koda approached me, “We are all very excited for your first shift. Werebears are naturally solitary creatures, but we value the first shift almost as much as the birth of a new cub. It’s a sacred event, in our culture.” I smiled, “I’m so happy that I get to shift. I’m looking forward to the run too.” Koda laughed, “It’s going to be fun. That’s for sure.”

The Alpha's Freakshow

The Alpha's Freakshow

No one has really filled me in on the semantics of falling in love as a werewolf. “What about bears?” I toss out, and he looks uncomfortable again. I’m enjoying making the massive scary man squirm. “Well, bears are loners, and not really monogamous. Especially not female bears.” “So you don’t have what you call a mate, then?” “Well, not really. My need for a mate is more of a human desire for companionship. Bears are loners,” He shrugs as he takes a left turn. “Sounds lonely,” I frown.

Just finished reading this for the second time. It is such a great, well-written book! It is a wonderful departure from the "normal" werewolf story. It is truly one of a kind. I also especially love the raw emotions and character development.

I enjoyed this book but I felt the issue with his brother was left unresolved...not sure if that's going to be a separate book or not. abe was supposed to have a meeting with Wade but we didn't find out what happened. I will continue reading the wonderful books written by this author

Hunting Her Hunters

Hunting Her Hunters

‘Bears only have single cubs. When they are about to deliver, the sows will build a small den away from the sleuth to protect their cubs. Their mates guard the sows while they deliver. The labor is done in animal form due to the size of the cubs. For the better part of their first year, infants choose to remain in their bear forms. They feel safer and are more sturdy. They know how to move around on their own and will feed and act just like a bear. At around 2 years of age, they will become human and will remain human until roughly their 15th birthday. Sows are pregnant for about 10 months just like a human. Again, your mate will guide you through this and explain everything to you.’

Awakening - Rejected Mate

Awakening - Rejected Mate

It doesn’t look inquisitive, it looks mad as hell, with raging eyes and bared teeth and I can tell with the way it rears on its back legs and wails at me, that it’s probably my scent ticking it off and not here to say hello. Bears don’t like my kind, it’s a well-known, and documented fact, they deem us a threat and we never wander into bear territory alone. Those monsters are strong, relentless, huge, and weirdly capable of taking one of us on as long as it’s a smaller femme like me, with little to no combat skills.

Tara McKague
it was a very good book. It does however get a little repetitive with the constant backtrack to their emotions. Pages of wallowing on emotions over the past inbetween vital events, which gets broken into small segments with a few paragraphs of dwelling emotions inbetween.

The Shadow Guard

The Shadow Guard

“Look, do you want the pups or not?” “Yes, I do. Tell me how to get my prize’s back.” Burican smiled. “Follow me.” The bear told him. His beast was angry with him. How dare he turn his back on his clan. He kept fighting with his human side. “You can’t do this!” “They are innocent cubs.” His beast yelled at him. “They aren’t my cubs or part of my clan, so they are not my concern.” Bear scoffed at his beast. He walked in front of Burican and Max showing them the hidden entrance to the clan bunker.

The True Alpha Female's Awakening

The True Alpha Female's Awakening

To humans, bear shifters and werewolves were considered shifters, but we weren't actually the same. Werewolves lived in packs, much like humans, but bear shifters tended to live solitary lives, which made them a rare species. A vampire's greatest strength was their speed, while bear shifters were known for their sheer power. When I attended Cumber School, Lamar was the only bear shifter in the entire school. He was also unlike any other bear shifter I had heard of. Most bear shifters had social anxiety and could live alone in the mountains for their entire lives, but Lamar loved group sports like basketball, hockey, and soccer. He even signed up for the human Super Bowl.
