The music played with deep bass and Fenna started talking in a deep voice, “Once werewolves lived in packs of thousands. They were superior beings loved by all. But with great beauty comes jealousy. The human race got jealous of the werewolf’s majestic appearance and the unity that lived among them. A war broke out and our numbers rapidly decreased. The moon goddess was determined to not let her creation go extinct, so she made a werewolf greater than the gods themselves. A werewolf mighty and pure of heart. Zane found hope and her eyes twinkled like stars in the night sky, full of hope, and looked like a small child who was about to get the first taste of candy. “Will he answer me?” for the long time she had been with Nicholas, she learned of Xerxes’s eccentric behavior. All that she knew was that the man is Meiko’s mate even before their existence, and he is the Moon goddess’ knight. If she has some questions, he must know. (AN: the kind of wolves in this book is quite different from what you guys know. Wolves here are like spirits that once their owner dies, they will return to the moon and wait till they find the next suitable person. I will explain more once it’s time.)

“I've been knocking for a while. I thought you were out. Have been covering for you all through today. You seem to be busy.” I leaned back. His eyes darted over the table. “The alchemical underpinning of fate and mating in werewolf lore—why would you be reading that?” I blinked, my gaze darting back to the book on the desk. I slapped the cover of the tome shut. Did I really pick that? “I…I wanted to study a concept,” I dragged my gaze to the shelves. Xavier was silent for a moment before he chirped. “You are thinking about her.”

“I feed you now, A lupomancer. She's stronger than the sorceresses who sealed you. She’s yours. In exchange—” In exchange? My heart reached louder again. Was there more he wanted? He dared to want more? “Exchange?“ A sound that seemingly came out of Vorare echoed in a pitch too wrong for a living throat. Hearing it a second time did nothing to ease my ears. They tingled like a bruise and pulsed in protest. Higan audibly swallowed and pressed on. “In exchange, you kill another problem for me. There’s a primordial in my territory. A werewolf too old, too strong for me to end. Kill him for me, and he's also yours to feed on after.”

Their boots were thick but the masculinity and power radiated off them. "Alpha Gohan is a smart wolf. He knows your thoughts even before you think it. Do not attempt to lie." I loosened the reigns from my hold. Why was he telling me this? He was giving me an advice? "Why?" My question was met with silence in the thick foggy area. "We have reached the border. Ride fast. We shall reach the crown by nightfall."

With a hesitant laugh, I murmured, "It reminded me of... Alex.” "Oh my God," she breathed, her hand flying to her mouth. "Are you crazy, girl?" "I don't know," I admitted, the doubt heavy in my voice. "But the way he looked at me... it was like he knew me. And the way he fought, it was like he was protecting me." Lila's eyes searched mine, her expression a mix of shock and fascination. "The legends say that a true bond between a werewolf and their human mate is incredibly powerful," she said softly. "If what you're feeling is real, it could change everything."

He felt an overwhelming sense of rage and disgust at the dubious nature of this pack. "Well, I changed my mind pup, I won't kill the rest of you, but your Alpha must die. You can as well join him in getting killed if you want". His beta launches for the Alpha but him and Hunter immediately block his imminent attack on their Alpha, they each take hold of the beta's arm and rip them from his body. He growls loudly in pain and slumps. They are immediately surrounded by angry snarling wolves and they each give themselves knowing looks of fighting till the end.

Before Chloe could react, Caleb closed the distance between them, stealing another kiss—a kiss fueled by passion, desire, and the swirling emotions that enveloped them both. As their lips met, a surge of energy passed between them. Chloe felt a transformation begin, the ancient power within her responding to the intensity of the moment. In the embrace of Caleb's kiss, Chloe's form shifted, her senses heightened, and she fully embraced her werewolf nature. The moonlit glade became a canvas for the unrestrained emotions that coursed through Chloe. The boundaries between reality and the supernatural blurred as Caleb's touch awakened the werewolf within her. The air became charged with an electr
