I was excited. “Uh,” He seemed flustered, “You believe me?’ “I’ll believe you when I’ll see it,” I urged him, “So, show me,” “Uh,” He licked his lips, he seemed somewhat hesitant, “Lycans have a different form than werewolves,” He spoke softly and he still looked confused, “You believe all this?” He frowned. “I will when you show me.” I smiled, “And I know,” I replied, “I looked it up on the internet,” My eyes didn’t stop shining and I was so excited my body felt restless, “Show me!!” I said again.

"Once formidable I must admit, but we are stronger now, Levi.” Irritated by his words, and with renewed determination, I unleashed the full power of my intermediate wolf form. Fur sprouted from my skin, muscles bulging with enhanced strength. The air crackled with raw energy as my teeth elongated into razor-sharp fangs, and my claws grew into lethal talons. I stood before him, a manifestation of primal fury and the unwavering spirit of my pack. The Outstanding Lycan, undeterred by my transformation, bared his own formidable fangs, his crimson eyes gleaming with a mix of excitement and bloodlust. With a subtle nod, he signaled his fellow Lycans to continue their assault.

Lycans. You’ve heard of werewolves, people who turn to wolves when the moon is full. They are larger than people and strong like freight trains at a full gallop. Lycans are three times larger than the biggest werewolf. They were also many times stronger than their counterparts. The most powerful Lycan is Alpha Xander. He comes from a long line of Alphas who ruled well and with brute strength.

On a couch near the fireplace sat a very old wolf in human form, his thin glasses perched neatly on his nose as he read a stack of papers. “Maddox!” Damien’s deep voice broke the silence with a smile on his face. His arms spread wide like he was about to hug the old man. The old man rose slowly, but in a heartbeat, his form blurred and shifted. Bones cracked, fur sprouted, and before me stood a massive wolf, his silver-streaked coat bristling with age and power. Damien’s lips curled into a smirk as he too shifted, his Lycan form towering and regal. He looked magnificent—so magnificent that I forgot to breathe for a moment.

Claire's Pov I looked at the path where Traian—my Alpha disappeared, still shocked to see someone shifting mid-air. Traian was our Alpha for many years and I have seen his wolf numerous times. We trained with him. But it still made my skin crawl in fear every time. Traian's was a Lycan. A superior kind to normal Shifters like us. Among our pack and others, there was no wolf who possessed such pure black wolf but only Lycans. They were like darkness in the skin of a wolf. They were bigger than us and their limbs are thicker, stronger so was their presence.

Leslie groaned awake as Tara and Zak dragged a table across the shattered window and braced it with chairs. “Tom? You can’t be out of bed,” Leslie said, pushing up on her elbows. “Jakey, what’s happening? What are those animals?” “Werewolves,” Jake said, eyes not leaving the hall. “They’re real.” Tara peeled a slat of the front blinds. “They’re everywhere,” she whispered. “Sniffing. Hunting.” Zak joined her, jaw tight. “Can we make the car?” She checked—froze. “They’re ripping the W.R.X. to pieces.”

“But you felt your beast at twelve, why didn't I feel mine?.” Lena nodded slowly, like she was measuring her words. “That is because wolves and lycans are not the same thing at all. Wolves are more primal, tied straight to the moon and the pack in that raw, messy way. Lycans like Victor come from older, purer lines. Their beasts are controlled, powerful, almost royal. Even if you carried a wolf inside you, it would never balance with his. A wolf and a lycan trying to make a pup? The blood would fight from the first month. It could kill you during pregnancy. But look at you. You are well over eighteen now. If you had a wolf, it would have shown itself years ago. The fact that it never did say

A Lycan's wolf is a bigger wolf than any other type of werewolf, stronger, faster, and immortal. Lycans can also have the ability to create a werewolf out of a normal human only by biting them, but a pack of werewolves can't do the same. A Lycan's bite is a killer bite for a vampire. The saliva of a Lycan is a venom that has no cure when it comes to vampires. All in all, it states how Lycans are a better version of werewolves. While lost in my thoughts, one of the Lycans spoke:

While werewolves shifted completely from humans into large wolves, lycans' form was somewhere in between. They stood upright on hind legs and maintained their human-like hands rather than paws. Looking at my mate before me, seeing how much power was contained within this form, I could understand why they were seen as superior. But could he outrun me?
