I nodded and let her proceed. “Meeting our wolves, our eyes began to change colors from golden yellows to blues, greens, and red ones. It tells us what type of wolves we had; beta, theta, or gamma since the rest will still be golden yellow.” She continued as she rubbed her arms since the air around the hilltop was getting colder but she was keeping me warm. Werewolves were indeed warm. “But rogues and nomads have their eyes red,” I stated what I’d noticed before when they attacked the town, and I'm still not over the horrifying fangs that were about to eat me alive if Hayden didn’t save me in time.

It locked eyes with the dark brown wolf. Mallory tried moving out of the way but the dark brown wolf snapped at her, keeping her in the area between the two wolves. The dark red wolf backed up and went to lunge. Mallory found herself ducking and the wolf went over her head. It landed in front of Mallory letting out a loud growl and lunged for the dark brown wolf. At the last second Mallory noticed the dark red wolf’s eyes glowing red with an amber ring and knew they were from Red Woods. She was torn between staying with the wolf and continuing her journey for help. If Red Woods were close by she had to let them know what was happening. She took off running.

I dropped more blood on their faces, and they were now too weak to even growl because of the excruciating pain. Wolfsbane lit your blood on fire. I tightened my cloak and pulled my red hood over my head, keeping my head low as I dashed toward granny's cabin. Time to leave the pack. I jump up and open my mouth to yell at her, but as always, another surprise awaits me. Though I have never seen Allison in her wolf form before, I know the one gnashing teeth at me isn't her. How you may ask? Simple, only rogues have blood-red eyes and an excessive amount of drool around their mouths. My eyes cast downward. "Sorry, bad joke." "Did I hurt you last night?" "No. But...has this happened before?" "When you get to a certain age as a wolf, it's a rite of passage to experience it. I guess kind of like a human's sixteenth birthday or maybe their twenty-first. They do it so we understand what it's like in case we ever encounter it."

Lona's POV The strongest wolves fighting each other created an extremely scary scene. After Jack and Alpha King turned into wolf form and rushed to bite each other, the other werewolves quickly transformed. The three warriors quickly came to my defense and the remaining warriors quickly joined the battle. Only a few minutes passed and all of them were seriously injured, even a werewolf fell. I didn't know if they were dead or just badly injured but that scene really freaked me out.
