Pascal wasn't surprised "that is huge, and how many packs are there in the City?" he inquired. "None, the vampires get rid of any Alpha immediately, they rule the City, and they are not ready to share it with the werewolves, when are you coming out of isolation?" Jack Rich asked with expectation.

From the corner of his eye, Cole saw a flash of a black and grey two-toned wolf leaping into the air and rushing after the Weres carrying Isabelle. Cole snapped his attention in the direction and reached for his gun in reflex before anyone could react. The werewolves were about twenty feet from where they stood. Xavier turned in the direction and snarled. The speed at which the wolf was going was unreal. Evil wolves and tigers started to stampede toward Lucas and Lora as soon as they saw them. The wolves and tigers were Rank 7 beings, and there were about 50 of them.
