Rejected and Betrayed - A Luna's Broken Heart
Urijah tells me, as he kneels to the floor of the cave with me in his arms, while he pushes a strand of my hair off my face.
How the hell was I to embrace it, when it felt like it was trying to kill me. My natural instinct was to fight it, make it go away, but here he was telling me to bear the pain, and allow it to happen. Not once when I have seen a shift, did it ever look this painful, and it made me begin to wonder if that was what was even happening to me.
“It hurts so bad, Urijah.” I cried out to him through gritted teeth, before another pain rushed through me, and I once again let a scream flow from my lips, as I tried to bear down on the pain.
