IN THE NAME OF SIN

IN THE NAME OF SIN

I knew for a fact that none of those prayers would reach heaven. Then the service started. Father John began slowly, his voice deep, infuriating, and commanding, filling every ear and heart. At first, I believed I could survive it. Maybe if I didn’t listen, maybe if I did not look at him, maybe if I zoned out, I would be fine. Maybe I could actually endure. And then he began. “Sin.” I gulped. “Begins as a small seed, unseen, almost harmless. But if you ignore it? It would destroy your soul.

SINFUL LOVE

SINFUL LOVE

The way he whispered my name like it was a sin he wanted to keep repeating. No. I didn’t dream it. He was here. My heart stutters just thinking about it. He came through the window like some kind of trouble I couldn’t resist. Said nothing for a while—just looked at me with those dark eyes, as if I belonged to him. And I didn’t stop him. I should’ve. I didn’t. Now, the memory burns under my skin, impossible to scrub off. The door creaks open suddenly, snapping me back to reality.

Toxic Love

Toxic Love

The man with her does not want to see tears in her eyes for someone else. He envied Leonardo, another sin. And if she comes to count, she realizes that the man is one sinner. Pride for his mind, thinking, cleverness and wrong deeds. Greed for Alessandra’s care, love and affection. Lust for her body. Envy for the whole damn world because it is better than him for Alessandra. Gluttony for punishments, pain, sufferings, cries and begging. Wrath because of mistakes, lies and wrong words which he despises the most and lastly sloth, his lack of empathy and sympathy. He does not put effort into understanding others’ pain and feelings. He just thinks about himself and does not get aroused or happy b

Lost in Moscow's Secret

Lost in Moscow's Secret

After a disbelieving beat ticked by, I allowed my gaze to travel to the lazy bastard, who lounged in his chair and, I knew fromexperience, had full use of both of his hands. “Sloth is a sin,” I said, my gaze narrowed. “So is pride,” he returned. “In fact, it’s believed to be the deadliest of themall.” Ugh. Now I had to serve him, or I was the greater sinner. I hated whoever took the time to teach this man the Bible. I dropped my fork and forced a smile. “Tea or water, D’yavol?” Elbow resting on the armof his chair, he ran a thumb across his jaw like he was thinking about it. Ahint of pleasure sparkled in his eyes at the demeaning situation he’d put me in.

How to be a Sinner?

How to be a Sinner?

"We are both going to punished once when we get caught. We need to be extra careful." Ang dapat sanang matatakot ako dahil sa kaniyang sinabi. Hindi tuloy nangyari. Bagkus, parang mas gusto ko pang gumawa ng bawal... ng masama. Para lang marinig sa kaniya ang ganoong kataga. Selfishness or self-will is the manifestation of sin. True love is the antidote to self-centeredness. You will not commit sin with them or tempt them to commit sin if you genuinely love them. "Kung ako lang ang mapaparusahan ay ayos lang, kaya ko naman. Pero paano kapag saiyo na? Hindi ko mapapatawad ang sarili ko, Amari..."

100 WAYS TO SIN

100 WAYS TO SIN

“Since the moment I opened your door by mistake. The way you look. The way you moved carrying my boxes. It’s been driving me crazy.” Sinclair groaned softly, a deep sound that vibrated through me. His hand came up again, this time cupping the side of my face, thumb brushing my lower lip. “You have no idea what you’re doing to me, Natasha. I’ve been hard for hours thinking about how soft you look. How wet you probably are right now.” His thumb pressed gently between my lips, and I sucked on it instinctively, tasting the salt of his skin. A whimper escaped me.

All in all, I liked the overall concept of the novel. Love, hatred, revenge, etc all emotions displayed by each character was totally good. There were some loopholes here and there in story such as the Ring pendant being with samrat was later being with Erica. But overall good work by the author👍

This is so dark and twisted. Just, WOW! I'm only 78% through but I'm definitely reading your other stories when I'm done with this one. This has me feeling all the bad feelings. FL is an amazing character. There's some editing that can be done, fix a few words, but it's still a great story. Bravo!

Sinful Pleasures

Sinful Pleasures

That he might break my heart if he got the chance so I wanted to distance myself from him. I could not give him the chance to break the walls around my heart. I really hoped he would stop doing whatever it was that he was doing and ignore me or hate me altogether like everyone else. I couldn’t for the love of god figure out what it was that pulled me to him like a moth to a flame , it was not just his good looks but the pain behind his smiling eyes which was almost similar to mine but not quiet. He thought he was hiding it well from everyone but I could tell just like I could tell that there was evil in my parents.

Sinful Pleasures

As the hours passed by, he was appreciating the absorption of words of wisdom into his way of thinking. He found himself reading and re-reading certain phrases. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more. Hebrews 8:12." Rye memorized the words until it felt imprinted on his heart and mind. "Then he adds: Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more. Hebrews 10:17."

Frequently Asked Questions

The sloth sin, often referred to as 'acedia' in older texts, is one of the seven deadly sins and carries a weightier meaning than just physical laziness. It’s more about spiritual apathy—a refusal to engage with life’s purpose or divine duties. Imagine someone who’s so indifferent they neglect their soul, ignoring prayer, community, or moral growth. It’s like scrolling mindlessly through life without ever lifting your head to see the bigger picture.

In monastic traditions, acedia was called the 'noonday demon' because it struck monks with a paralyzing boredom during their routines. But it’s relatable today too—ever felt too numb to care about things that actually matter? That’s sloth creeping in. It’s not about resting (even God rested on the seventh day!), but about wasting potential. The Bible warns against this in Proverbs 6:9–11, where laziness leads to poverty, but the deeper poverty is of the spirit. I’ve wrestled with this myself—sometimes burnout masquerades as sloth, but other times it’s just pure avoidance. The antidote? Small acts of intentionality, like showing up for others or rekindling curiosity.
