Why the hell was she blushing? “Look it up once I leave the room and you’ll understand. I’m staying in another part of the house while my bedroom is occupied.” I already had my phone clutched in hand when I asked, “Why do you want me to wait until you leave the room?”

And when my heartbeat began calming down, that's when I took in the background of the room. It was painted black... every corner of the house was painted black anyway. The room didn't have much. Just the bed covered with a black sheet, an empty wardrobe, and a cabinet. It was obvious this room was a spare room. I exhaled heavily. It's creepy that I will be under the same roof as that Demon. How would I cope especially with his gaze that looked like he wants to eat me? Should I call him a carnivorous animal instead of a demon? Or a vampire?

We were dismissed. As the door shut behind us, the demon purred. 《There’s something calling to me in that room. Mmm. Delicious.》 My brows drew together. “Do demons… eat?” 《Not the way you think. But I suppose we can find it later.》

I mumbled. Sabrina cursed under her breath when she saw the shadows too. I looked back at the two bodies that the demons possessed. Their bodies slowly fall down like paper onto the floor. Screams resonated the entire room and my eyes widened in horror upon seeing the two dead bodies slowly disappearing and seconds later it became dust. Everyone fell silent in shock.

I followed, using the black dog for locomotion as he practically carried me down the long, narrow flight. I staggered to my knees at the bottom, feeling the arc of demon power slice through me the moment my feet touched the concrete floor. I didn't even have the strength to scream, the sound of my demon's pain instead echoing inside my head. My eyes flickered around the basement, taking in the sight of Dad, surrounded by amber wards, his eyes glowing with demon fire, the power pumping out of him, feeding the swirling magic surrounding him. Fed by the blood flowing from his right hand.

The bedroom was quiet and I looked around, realizing it was really just a dream. Nybbas scared me the same way Lou did. Their lust is a powerful thing, and those two glowed with it, if only in their words. I was cold and needed to put on cloths quick. As much as I wanted to crawl under the covers and pray for a dream with kittens and rainbow socks, I knew it couldn’t happen. I needed to find this demon, and fast, or I may never sleep again. Once I was dressed, I headed down stairs to the kitchen, all the while rolling the demons words over in my head. Was he talking about the loss of Reggie? Would I break if something happened to her? Probably.

I almost laughed again, "what do you want to do with me now? Make me even more cursed than I already am?" Apophis slowly moved closer till he was in front of me. "I want to take away the seal Samael put on your eye so you can see what we see.." he crouched in front of me, making me meet his blue eyes. "We can see more than the average human... That eye of yours is a demon eye...So you can see what we see.." I glared at him before growling, "and what can you see?"
