I gasp, my eyes wide with surprise and a hint of fear. The demon smirks at me, looking amused by my reaction. "Oh, don't be so scared. I may be a demon but I'm pretty sure I'm not that scary." He chuckles. My eyes quickly scan around to understand my current situation. That’s when I realize that Aster is naked and casually lounging in the bed.

I hadn’t protested, no need. And now, a pit was opening right at the spot where that reserve had been deployed. What did it look like? I remember it as if it was still happening right before my eyes. As a half-demon, that’s my gift and my curse. The earth started shaking under the feet of the dumbfounded soldiers. Some of them fell down, while others stared blankly, frightened, until... The ground cracked and burst, as if a coal-black fissure appeared in the earth.
