When Does Aelin Get Captured By Maeve Novels & Stories

For a little while everything felt almost normal. Then Alpha Alistair stood. The entire room immediately fell silent. “I have an announcement.” My stomach dropped. Oh no. No. No. No. His gaze settled on me, then on Bane. “As many of you know, Bane and Livana are destined mates.” I closed my eyes. Please stop talking. Please. “As future Alpha and Luna of Silver Moon, it is time preparations begin. I expect them to be marked and mated before the next full moon.”

To make sure that she was safe. The mating instincts told him that his mate was in danger, that she would be hurt and he needed to save her. But he couldn't move out of the chains. He just couldn't move out of the damn thing. "Ah. My men have found Maria." Ariti smirked, rubbing his palms together. "Let's take this inside, shall we? We wouldn't want the people knowing what's happening in the castle, I'm sure." Bran's sword clattered to the ground as he was lifted into air, floating along with Ariti and the sorceress as they entered his house like they fucking owned it.

Its silver and salt wealth brought more wealth and leverage than Varek had ever dared dream of. Elara now sat on Solara’s throne with Corin. Seeing them together is like drinking syrup in the best ways. With Marvane firmly allied with Solara, and thus Caldara, most of the continent has been forced into a sort of peace. The siege had been the last time the Caldaran army had actually gone into battle. A knock sounds on the door. “Your Majesty? It’s time.” I head out.

"In our home. The Moonveil Clan territory, in the San Juan Mountains." Colorado? That's... that's over five hundred miles from Montana. How did I— "Why am I here?" The words burst out of me, sharper than I intended. Fear makes them cutting. "How did I get here? I was at home, in my apartment, and I went to sleep in my own bed, and now...." "I'm Caelan," he interrupts gently. "Caelan Draven. Alpha of the Moonveil Clan." He takes another step closer, and the air between us seems to shimmer with electricity. "And you, Aeliana, are my mate."

She had seen Damon gut the Alpha open in the throne room. "Find the brat," Damon ordered his men. "The Stormwolf Whelp dies tonight, or we all burn tomorrow." A whimper cut through the silence; they all turned. "Run," Kristen whispered in her ear. Eliana lunged to the rear tunnel, the one only the alpha's bloodline knew of. She made it three steps to the tunnel when the moon priestess appeared behind her like a harbinger of doom, with the flaming sword in her hand. "Found you," she whispered.

What was purged will be reborn. The vision shattered as suddenly as it had appeared, leaving me gasping on my knees beside the altar. The moss was in my hands, carefully wrapped. I didn't remember harvesting it. And standing at the edge of the clearing, eyes wide with shock, was Elise. She'd seen everything. ************** Kirean pov Elena's eyes found mine as I approached, and I saw the exhaustion in them, the weight of whatever she'd experienced in that labyrinth. But beneath it all, there was also determination.

“That’s a suicide mission, Alaric! Just the two of you against hundreds? You won’t even survive crossing the first bridge!” “It’s the only tactic that makes military sense!” I snap back. “We do not have time to search for more allies! Your uncle’s forces will sweep through these forests within hours!” “I won’t allow it!” Maeve shouts. Her eyes begin glowing silver with emotion. “I’m not letting you die as bait!” I straighten my posture, my jaw tightening. “Everyone, get out. Leave the two of us alone.” The loyalists hesitate for a moment, glancing nervously toward Maeve, but the aura exploding from me forces them to lower their heads and hurry out of the room. Dorian straightens his robe and

The false Maeve hissed low, stepping back as if she recognized her power. Alia smiled faintly, her lips painted blood-red. “Did you think your trick could hold? Did you think he would not call me when the game grew too tangled?” Daston snarled, his silver eyes flashing. “You meddle where you do not belong, witch.” Her gaze cut to him like a blade. “I belong wherever Johan’s will takes me. And right now, it takes me here.” Her eyes landed on me, soft but sharp, peeling me open. “Maeve. Vessel of the Moon. You cannot fight a reflection. You can only destroy the mirror.”

' I don’t know what happened that Emlyn is now officially Luna of our pack, but I’m happy she is and I’m thrilled that she’s here. I continue fighting off rogue after rogue and Levana continues to send them at us, trying to get to Maeve. “Oh, there they are,” Levana says. Her eyes have gone opaque. “Leave them alone!” Maeve screams just as I feel Rich’s presence in the pack lands. He has returned as well. Between the two of them, they will take down Beta Trevor. I just need to help Maeve take down Levana. ‘What’s going on, Maeve?’ I ask her in the mind link.

I look over Ruby again, then Emma, but I’m smelling way more blood than is leaking from Emma’s surface wound on her arm. Then I recognize the faint jasmine undertones mixed with the blood. Mae. Using my Alpha voice, I command the crowd to make way. Still screaming, they keep to the walls as they flee for the exists, leaving me a direct view of Mae, lying on the ground, covered in blood. Ruby’s cries cut through the noise, piercing my mind. “My arm!” Emma still wails, tugging at my sleeve. I push her aside, keeping Ruby close as I hurry over to Mae. She’s unconscious, so I scoop her up, telling Ruby to hold onto my jacket as we head outside.
