When Does Aelin Get Captured By Maeve Novels & Stories

he said with a wide grin. She growled before muttering a low, “How could I forget the brother of the woman who stole my fiancé. You might have a gun to my back, but I’m not leaving this place without that ring! I was crazy to give it to you in the first place.” It was at about this time that Ophelia had arrived outside. I could see her in the distance, racing towards us. But then she froze, seeing Kiyan. He hadn’t seen her yet; his eyes were still on Stacey. A wave of terror and anxiety flooded through me as I wondered how Kiyan would react to her. He hadn’t seen her in so long… and his hatred for the lycans blinded him.

"Please, my lady, we shouldn't talk. If Alpha finds out..." "He won't." I reached back and touched her hand briefly. "Thank you, Elara." Her eyes widened, then softened with something that looked like pity. The same pity I'd seen in the crowd last night. The same fear. She leaned close as she adjusted my braid, her lips nearly touching my ear. "The old one—Maeve—she says to wait. To watch. To be ready." She pulled back quickly, her face neutral again. My heart pounded. Maeve had allies here. People who would help.

Viene’s POV The alert came before dawn. A perimeter breach, not subtle this time — Miel wasn’t hiding his approach anymore. He was walking straight for the border wall in plain sight, alone, and the guards had orders not to engage until Nathan arrived. We got there as the sky was turning gray. Miel stood on the far side of the boundary line, close enough now that I could see him clearly for the first time since the ceremony — thinner than I remembered, his eyes wrong somehow, like something had been feeding on him from the inside for months.

Maeve and Nana had bared their necks in greeting both muttered "Alpha King" Ava got off the stool and walked up to him with half of her face burning in embarrassment and so was the mark on her wrist. Maeve held her grandma who waas stating too intently at the Alpha King and that snapped her out of it before Dolion could pay attention to them. She pulled her Nana who seemed to be I'm trance even after she stopped staring at him, and pulled her away from Dolion's view, straight into her room and closed the door before she turned to see her still out of it.

Aurelia. A knock on Talia's room door startled the both of us into silence. In truth, there was everything to be terrified of. We had shut the main doors, so whoever it was that was knocking on this room’s door had to have gotten in somehow without our permission, and with all the brazenness in the world to knock. “Aurelia,” Talia whispered. I turned to her, panicking. “Morph and be ready to attack,” she snapped. “I'll open the door.”

The claiming bite. Yes, Astra murmured. The bite of your true mate will flood your dying veins with his Lycan vitality. It will permanently anchor us to the physical world, and the sheer power of the synchronized bond will shatter the curse. But Elara… if he bites you, the walls you built against him must fall. You must let him all the way in. Kaelen shifted above me, preparing to shout for the guards to fetch the doctors. I didn't let him.

I was sure I won’t be getting bored listening to it until this soul left this body. “I, Princess Aylin Levan. Daughter of King Vincent and Queen Ana Levan, accept you, Rowan Selous as my mate for forever.” I don’t know what I am feeling now. My heart was filled up to the brim after my declaration. He squeezed me more in his arms and left a light kiss over my hairs, inhaling deeply. I liked the way it sounded tranquil. It urges me to repeat and again.

"Alpha Kael has been granted back his rightful position as the Alpha of the Startling Pack. And Alpha Ryder has been reinstated as the Lycan king." The entire hall erupted with applause and cheers as the announcement reverberated through the hall. Aria squeezed my hands tightly as she placed her head on my shoulder. Joy filling me, I lifted her face up and planted a soft kiss on her lips. I finally had everything I ever wanted. THE END.

"The blood moon will return in three months, and to be honest, I don’t want a repeat of what happened years ago." When the blood moon appeared years ago, Athens lost his mate, whom he cherished dearly, and Alaric almost killed me. The scars of his sharp claws on my chest reminded me that I had nearly died at his hands. The wounds won't heal, and it aches badly each time the full moon is up. "We are going to avoid that. That is why we are going to the Lady of Mayfair Tower.'' I reminded them of the decision to solve their curse. Evenugh I had already informed them about it, my brothers tend to pay little attention to what matters most.

He was still yelling, but I dashed out of his office and into the forest. “I managed to enter their pack, and now it's easy for me to execute my plan; if their Alpha doesn't care about me being his mate, I'll make sure he retracts his words soon.” “I, Maeve, I swear I WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE REJECTION AGAIN! I SWEAR TO THE OLDEST STONE, AND I CURSE TO THE GODS AND GODDESSES!” I mumbled and flew into the thin air madly. ...the next day...
