I pushed away the thoughts of panicking and overthinking, figuring neither would do me any good. Taking a deep breath, I closed the keyboard by tapping “fuck,” then tapped “off” and spoke. “Auth, this is Portal. I’m in a location that doesn’t have a database entry, standing in a blood-red sky, not sure if that means anything to you. I portaled to it without even meaning to and now my portals won't open. Although I know you’re likely busy with real-world matters, I’d appreciate it if you could contact me as soon as possible.”

Tatum says with a deep frown on his face. “Oh, oh, it’s not sorcery, it’s science, there’s a lever somewhere around. Look for it. The door blends into the wall to hide the cells,” Kelvin says. “There!” Leila points to a group of levers up ahead and Tatum hurries towards it and pulls it one by one until he sees Leila rush into one of the open doors. He rushes over to the cell and he sees Leila hugging Kelvin, both in tears. Surprisingly, neither him nor his wolf feels jealous, instead, he feels happy like he also just found a lost friend.

I am sure that I looked ridiculous. A surge of lilac energy rippled in wavelets from my hand, opening a new vivid and lustrous oval portal with edging that pixelated in bouts of endless tones of lilac and violet shimmers. The scenery on the other side of the portal was in striking contrast to what I was surrounded with. The last thing I remember was that I recklessly jumped in, as I had no choice. I soared towards the portal when I spared one last glance towards paralysed Malleteagan, who stood still in his mid jump open jaw strike position, unable to move. I fell on the ground of this new realm, and the portal shut. Then everything went dark. Dark. Again.

[Third Person POV] As the leveling continues, Luna still couldn't help but think of the portals that have opened. She feels like she is connected to what was happening. It’s a strong feeling that can't be ignored. Meanwhile, when Leena entered the mysterious portal tree, she was taken to an unfamiliar place. She was in a forest and all she could only hear was the sound of crickets and birds chirping. She felt her surroundings and suddenly, a white bird approached her. Her face lit up and talk to the bird.

It was a black portal that had brought us here in the past but then how do we get back to the cave of deceit, where we are meant to be right now? I sat on the ground, trying not to give up hope. "What are we going to do now? Non of us know the way to the cave of deceit." Linda said to Pablo. "Hold on let me check the book once more. Maybe there's something we are missing." Pablo said and looked through the map. "There is something here about the black portal." Pablo said. "Well?" Linda said. Pablo started to read: "The black portal. This takes from the cave of deceit into the swamp land whenever a mission is completed but never the other way round."

For the nth time, Merlin fretted as they trudged the darkened tunnel inside her portal that would lead to the hole where her butterfly was all thanks to Gabriel’s provocation attempt. Rolling his eyes, Levi, who got his right hand opened to create a blue-colored flame for their dark pathway, answered Merlin’s non-existent dilemma. “How many times did Maleficent explain it to you? It will be fine. Fine as in F.I.N.E., got it? And, dude, you experienced this portal travel yourself.”

Levi’s POV The moment the portal opened up again in the corner of Lucern’s office, I felt the bond with Jamari snap back into place. It felt like a soothing balm being spread all throughout my body, resulting in a purring sound to take up residence within my mind. Damballa pushes to the surface, fighting to take over control of my body when a form appears on the other side of the open portal. My breath hitches in my throat as the most glorious sound floats to my ears from the other side of the portal.

I looked around and saw my dad, almost freezing. "Dad?" I called out and he looked at me. "Are you okay?" I asked him with worry lacing my voice. "I am." "The next portal will be available in three minutes." She announced and we nodded our head. Three minutes passed, she activated it again and we got in as we did before This time we found ourselves in the middle of a place I can't even recognize. It was filled with dirty ashes. Gosh, the smell was so nostalgic. I coughed out and Leo started rubbing my back.
