“You talk too much,” she says teasingly.
“Shut me up by kissing me,” he affirmed almost immediately.
“A lawyer and a flirt,” she chuckled, taking a quick pause—her eyes not leaving his, “I’m only interested in finding my father’s killer.”
Raven wasn’t one to shrink from a challenge, she needed to catch the murderer, and nothing could stop her—not even love.
“You’ve made it clear, I’m willing to wait,” he smiled. In reply, she gave a gentle nod. It was all an illusion, her eyes moved to the number inscribed on her palm. In forty one days, she would be going back to the present—her reality.
