It was Lisa's first time meeting Summer, but she had heard of Summer's stories from Serenity and Clara and had always admired her. Summer had won the fight and survived under such cruel treatment. Knowing Keith's animosity toward James, Summer presumed he would view her similarly. As Summer contemplated whether to confront Keith, he approached and gently tapped her shoulder. "Who are you? Her brows came together in a frown. “Hey, this is home. What happened?” That wasn’t what Billy expected. He assumed she’d have a few bumpy days. This, though, came out of the left field. “Jeremy called me ugly and fat.” Her small hands flew out around her to show her compact form. Then her arms flapped down before she stomped up the walk to the Inn. “Did you tell Ms. Summer?” Now Billy needed to trail after her to find out the entire story. “She told me he’s acting like that because he wanted to be my friend. What friend says things like that? She’s crazy. I don’t want to go back.”
