I recall sighting one a few times on my way to work but I never really paid attention. Ugh, just great. When you don't need something, it keeps showing up in your face every damn second but the one time you desperately need it, it suddenly disappears. I almost cuss in frustration when I sight the jewellery shop on the other side of the road. Perfect. I bring the car to a halt, alight, and make my way inside, both hands stuffed in my pockets. "Good day." I greet the young man behind the counter. He looks up at me from the book he was reading. I take a glance and almost puke. Romeo and Juliet, the title read. Really? I scoff inwardly. I hate this Shakespeare novel with passion.

I clutched the book tightly against my chest as my heart pounded erratically. "Hey, if you don't mind, let's go there," he pointed to the desk he had previously been sitting at. Then I realized something. He saw me. He saw me while I was attempting to reach the book! Oh, it was so embarrassing. He started walking, and I followed him. He sat near the library window, and I sat across from him. "That was a novel, right?" he asked, referring to the book. "Yeah, I just... uh... this book caught my attention," I shyly said, still clutching the book.

I say to Liam, "Do you want to come over to my house later for dinner? Everyone is dying to meet you since they have not seen you for years." Liam laughs, "Really? Your family is really funny." I nod my head in response and am about to ask him what his deal is with Zach, just as Melissa walks into the class; I almost forget that she is also in my class and I notice her red eyes. When she sees me looking at her, she looks around to look for a seat and that is when I realize the only empty seat is the one next to Zach. I feel another knife through my heart when I see them making small conversation but decide to divert my attention to Liam by asking him, "What is your deal with Zach?"
