Leaving the Temple of Lang Dui was heart-rending, but as Jasper and I embarked on the third leg of our quest, we were both a little different than we’d been yesterday. The walk back to the village was silent, with neither of us willing or knowing how to bring up the events of the past twenty-four hours, we still weren’t certain where our clue would lead us, but I was certain we were headed in the right direction. “Where to from here?” Jasper asked when we sat down at a pub and grill for lunch.

I turned to look around and noticed that the reason that I don't remember the bar at all was that we were not in Purple Hill anymore. “Where the hell are we?” I asked Calvin as he got out of his truck. “Black Moon Pack,” Calvin said smiling at me as he help me out. My eyes grew big as I hear where the hell we are. “Cal!” I said almost shouting, “Are you crazy?!” “What?!” Calvin replied as if he was not guilty. “Let’s get out of here,” I said as I tried to pull him back into his truck so we can leave before anyone sees us.

The trip was over. The next one was already on the list. Everything else was still exactly where we'd left it. That was exactly right. That was more than enough.

We knew by the loud traffic noise and over-filled dumpsters we were back on Earth. “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore,” Adrian said, picking Eric and herself up. “Funny!” Eric said. “We’re definitely not at the academy anymore.” “Then where are we?” Adrian said. “I’ve never seen this place before.” “But I have,” I said, walking past them. I soon came to the Space Needle standing from a distance. I smiled at Eric and Adrian. “Welcome to Seattle.” After all the crazy crap we went through, I brought us to my hometown.

Delilah and I got them ready, and we all left together, as a family. I didn’t know where any of this was going, but I hoped our struggles were behind us now.

The pristine lake sparkled in the sunlight and the leaves rustled in the gentle breeze. “I had no idea Neo-Greenpeace was so far away,” I said, panting slightly from the exertion of our journey. Alpha Matthew just grinned. “That’s the magic of it, mate. You never know where the road will take you.” At last, we stumbled upon an abandoned hut with a creaking door that was hanging off its hinges. We paused for a brief rest, catching our breath and taking in our surroundings. “We must be getting close,” Alpha Matthew said, excitement clear in his voice.

"But tonight, just us." "Just us," I agreed. We turned off the gallery lights and went home.

We had finally found home. The End.

The kind that said: We’re not where we were. But maybe… We’re getting somewhere.

I have to leave. We had to leave now.
