Whisper Pillow Novels & Stories

I snuggled deeper into my pillow, loving the scent of it. I can’t recall my pillow ever smelling this good. It smells like a sea, in the tropical nature, with flowers and rocks surrounding it. I could even see the waves in my mind and see myself running to be carried away by it. It suddenly moved and I frowned, “be still,” I whispered and it stilled, “good pillow,” I murmured again and heard a deep chuckle. I ignored it and continued with my sleep, willing to see myself in my beautiful ocean again. The rise and fall of my pillow was rocking me deeper into sleep and I didn’t want to wake up anymore. I drifted further into sleep, I haven’t slept so well in a long time.

| Hollis | The next time Hollis woke up, she was alone. Her weighted blanket was designed to help her feel like Whitney was always next to her when she was trying to fall asleep, but that unique warmth associated with another human body just wasn’t there. Much less Whitney's. She could hear faint laughter and animated conversation coming from downstairs and blinked away the first few minutes of grogginess. As if suddenly remembering something, Hollis cursed softly and lunged for her charging Google Pixel 4 XL to peek at the time.

I felt myself drifting off to sleep and yes I was still standing, It was so blissful until I heard a voice, a voice I despised, a voice which made me jump away from the pillow immediately. "Are you done using me as a pillow?" The voice said, which made me glance around to find where it was coming from. "I'm right here, look up," The same voice said. I complied and looked up. Guess what, It was the pillow who spoke. It was really strange that a pillow could talk, I wondered. Oh, wait it didn't just talk. I then examined it closely, to notice it had a head, arms, legs too. Wait it's a person? And is that not James?* I asked myself as I my vision came in contact with a sorry face.

I whisper, my voice barely above a breath. That's our baby.

he whispers, nipping my ear, “We pick an alley. And you beg louder.” I smile into the pillow, body sore, sated, loved. Fantasy fulfilled.
