The Secret Whisperer

The Secret Whisperer

There was no way around it—she had a date with dusty library shelves. The library wasn’t hard to find, thanks to the tourist map pinned up at the chalet’s entrance. Quaint and unassuming, it was wedged between a café and a souvenir shop selling overpriced snow globes. Hardly the setting for a conspiracy that could bring down European democracy, but Leila knew better than to trust appearances. She stepped inside, the scent of old books and mildew wrapping around her like bad memories.

I Slept With The Wrong Man

I Slept With The Wrong Man

~ Seraphina ~ “Do you really think I’m going to sit here and wait for permission to breathe?” I asked, talking to nobody but myself, my voice much steadier than I felt inside. I paced the length of the library in Lucien’s secret estate. The room smelled of old paper and expensive leather. Outside the tall windows, the morning mist clung to the trees, hiding this place from the rest of the world. It was a beautiful prison, tucked away where no map could find it.

Whispers of Submission (Whispers #1)

Whispers of Submission (Whispers #1)

Cassie straightened slowly, her hands still wet, droplets sliding down her wrists and onto the marble. Sienna smiled. It didn’t reach her eyes. “Well,” she said, voice soft and vicious, “look who the cat dragged in. Who let you in to play with the adults?” Bess leaned one hip against the vanity, arms crossed beneath her breasts. “She cleans up nicely. Almost believable, better than the picture you showed me.” Cassie forced her voice steady. “If you have something to say, say it. I’m not here for games.” Sienna laughed. The sound was low and musical and it echoed off the bathroom. She stepped closer, her heels clicking, until she was near enough that Cassie could smell her perfume: Crushed be

Whispers Behind the Glass

Whispers Behind the Glass

Her bare feet made no sound on the cold tile. She passed the recreation room, the locked medicine storage, the art therapy studio. Then stopped. One door was slightly ajar. Records. She knew she wasn’t allowed in. She also knew no one would stop her. Inside, it smelled of mold and old secrets. Folders were stacked floor to ceiling. Names she didn’t recognize. Some crossed out. Some are labeled only by numbers. She ran her fingers along the shelves. And then something caught her eye. Her name. Or rather, her face.

After Divorce: Ex-wife Never Turns Back

After Divorce: Ex-wife Never Turns Back

So I waited until I was alone. The library in Barrett’s estate was smaller than the grand one upstairs, more intimate, more personal. It smelled of bergamot and old leather, soft candle wax and cigar smoke tucked into every corner of its velvet drapes. There was a low fire in the grate, dancing and popping behind the iron screen. I curled my legs beneath me on the velvet chaise, holding a mug of lavender tea in trembling hands.

Dear readers, thank you for your supports! I'm sorry—this is indeed bit of a long story. But I promise I'll give this story a perfect ending. Plus, I personally love the plot design of the latter half of the story, hehe^^ You are welcome to leave comments and share your thoughts!

The Blood Moon Prophecy

The Blood Moon Prophecy

The library exudes a sense of order, as if the books have chosen to scatter on the floor deliberately, in a momentary act of rebellion. The smell of the library is a blend of worn, old pages, vanilla-scented candles, and the unique fragrance of the sun-burning grass in the summer. I feel a sense of coziness as I pick up the books from the floor. Approaching the man gathering the last books from the floor, each book seeming to carry a piece of the library’s soul, I notice that he is elderly, his presence radiating impressive calmness as if he is in no hurry to pick up the books.

Whispers of Loyalty

Whispers of Loyalty

ALANA There’s a scent I can never wash off. It clings to my skin even after three showers and my favorite vanilla lotion. Even when I drown it in expensive perfume and rose oil, it always lingers. Blood. It’s not always literal. Sometimes it’s memory. Sometimes it’s your last name.

the interviewer said, " You can say that,” I said, " I'm just a little curious and I'm sure everyone else is, why call it The Veil of Mist, your family company have other perfumes like Serein Elixir, Fleur Noire, Essenza Mystique, and then we have The Veil of Mist, why did you decide to call it that?” she asked,

. I need something that whispers power, not shouts it. Something that draws you in, then holds you captive. if you know what I'm saying." She opened her eyes, a sudden spark of inspiration flaring within them. “Patchouli. But not the heavy, earthy kind. I want the clean, almost minty fraction. And then… oud.” Anita’s pen paused mid-stroke. “Oud? That’s a bold move. It’s expensive, and it can overpower everything else if not handled with absolute precision.” “Precision is my middle name,” Natalie retorted, a wry smile playing on her lips. She reached for a tiny, dark vial, its liquid almost black, viscous. The scent, even sealed, was potent, ancient, a whisper of distant forests and sacred ri

Whispers Through the Wall

Whispers Through the Wall

Ethan’s breath hitched the moment Sienna slid closer to him on the couch. The dim lighting of her apartment cast warm shadows along the curves of her face, her lips curling into an amused smile as she tilted her head at him. The scent of her perfume, subtle yet intoxicating, wrapped around him like an invisible force, making it impossible to think straight. “So, tell me, Ethan,” she purred, swirling the amber liquid in her glass. “Do you always get this nervous around women, or is it just me?”
