Little Bird
As his words settle in, I blink, trying to dislodge my tears, and a feverish shiver takes over my body.
“Why do I feel like there is something that you aren’t telling me?” I whisper with disappointment.
Stepping forward, he takes hold of my hands and brings them up to his lips, “you will learn the true meaning behind my words all in good time, Little Bird.” He mutters, grazing his hot lips over my icy knuckles. “Until then, my lips are sealed. Come, it’s time to leave.”
