It was a very strong one, a spell that only full blooded witches could cast effectively and she knew that with the backing of her mother, she would be able to pull it off. Maika prayed that everything worked according to her plans. She found the spell on the last page and she started chanting it at once. It drained her of her essence but in the end, she was successful. She stared down at the white powder that had slowly been forming on the book all the while and she smiled. They were not going to know what him them until it was too late. Maika gathered the powder from the book in a little piece of paper and wrapped it in her palms. Her room door flung startling her and Maisey walked in.

And there wasn’t any I hadn’t tried. Angry at myself, I hissed and threw the book to a corner, ready to leave. My eyes fell on another book down the shelf, hidden carefully away from view. I leaned over and brought it out. Dusting away the dirt on it, I glanced at the book. Its cover was black leather, etched with sigils that pulsed faintly as if alive. “Spell of forbidden magic,” I read out loud. Dark magic. Forbidden magic. It was the same kind of spell I was sure Darius used on me.

Magic they feared. I run my fingers across the cracked spines until I find what I’m looking for: Ancient Witchcraft of the Forgotten Era. Bound in deep green leather, barely holding together.
