Despite everything happening around me, I almost smiled. “You’re impossible.” “And you’re stubborn.” “I’ve been called worse.” “I know.” The way he said it made me look at him. “You know?” He gave me a faint smile. “I’m learning.” For a moment, the tension disappeared. Then his phone rang. He answered. “What?” Ethan’s voice came through. “We have a problem.” KC’s expression immediately changed. “What happened?” “The man we picked up is dead.” My blood ran cold. “What?” Ethan continued.

I just widened my eyes. "What?!" I exclaimed. ELIZABETH VILLATORTE POV:) "Brother, this is it. How much is all?" I'm here now in ukay-ukay. I have also chosen Ros's clothes. I don't know anything about that stranger, why am I buying him clothes? I'm really too kind. The man guarding it, sitting with his legs still high while focusing on its cp. He was watching a video and I heard him say it. "The heir to Uphone was killed in a big accident. The youngest son of Mr. Sy was killed when his car hit him and it exploded along with his body. His face was barely visible. Blah blah blah..." That's what I heard which is said by the man watching in cp.

A bad premonition gnawed his heart. Another beep woke him up from his pain. “Sir, the phone’s details have nothing suspicious. She never contacted anybody through that phone. The last message was sent through a private number, which is no longer in existence. The person who owned that number died five years ago.” The man shared his findings. “Bunch of good for nothing! Have you taken your pay for granted? Find her!” Kieth could not help but roar into the phone! He could not believe it! She was just an ordinary human being! How could she pull off such a move?

I asked. “What about me?” He countered. “When you are still alive, why aren't you dead?” I asked and he scoffed. “Thanks so much for your care,” he spat. “When the leader pointed the gun at me after killing my partner his phone ran. He answered the call and ordered one of his guys to knock me unconscious,” he continued. “When I came to. You guys were already here,” he said and I sighed. “Howard set us up,” I said and Evans groaned.

I said, pointing to one of the secret doors that Michael and I had figured out while we were trying to hatch our plans. “You’d be quick?” Michael asked, staring quizzically at me. I nodded. Thinking about how I wouldn’t want the police to question me too much about what had gone down here, I searched through the crowd of almost dead men sprawled on the dirty floor, picked up the cell phone of one who had only been shot on his leg and then immediately dialed 911. “What’re you doing man?” He croaked our, pointing to his phone which was in my hands but instead of answering, I quickly shoved his phone back into his hands as soon as I heard the operator say;

"I found his cell phone among his belongings, but it was soaked in seawater and couldn't be opened. What do you want with his cell phone?" Liv seemed suspicious, too. She thought for a moment and said, "I remember Jeff getting a phone call at home the day he was killed and then leaving, so maybe I can find out who it was!" Pretty soon, Liv had the phone company send Jeff's phone records to her phone. She quickly tracked down an unknown number on the day of Jeff's death. It was 3 p.m. , the time Jeff had left the house. The unknown number came from a pay phone in an apartment building near Pearl Street. It occurred to me that Gina's apartment was on Pearl Street. I think Gina must have called

After a while of contemplating, I clicked the green icon, placing the phone on my ear. “The work is done and I would like my payment please,” someone said, ending the call before I could say a word. My heart beat heightened, and I prayed it wasn’t what I thought it was. With trembling hands, I walked towards Dante, who was at the bar, sitting on a stool with his head on the wooden counter. “You are here,” he smiled, and I tossed his phone on the table. “Your hit man called, and it might interest you to know that your friend Xavier is dead.”

Her clothes were on the verge of falling, and it made her look very charming. Before they could move on to the next step, his phone rang. Maisie then urged him intermittently, “Nolan, you should answer it first…” Nolan’s gaze turned cold. He was obviously displeased by the sudden interruption. However, he did not covet this moment of pleasure either. After releasing her, he pulled his phone out and answered the call. “What is it?” Quincy’s voice then rang out from the phone, “Mr. Goldmann, that man is dead.”

‘Looks like this enemy of mine isn’t just good at hiding, but at espionage as well! Mackenzie suddenly gave Javier a phone call while he was deep in thought. “The owner of that cell phone number passed away three years ago due to a natural illness. The owner was 80 years old at the time, and his phone records are empty because someone ordered for them to be scrubbed. A person ordered for the number to be blacklisted, and it was done through a public wifi source, so we can’t find out who this person was exactly.” ‘A dead end…Another f*cking dead end! F*ck this guy! He’s literally like a ghost living in the dark!’

“Because I killed him. I made sure he was gone. I watched him die.” There was a long pause on the other end of the line. “You… you killed him?” he asked slowly, incredulous. “Yes,” I snapped. “Not maybe. Not almost. I killed him. He’s dead.” Silence swallowed the line again, thick and suffocating. “So… then who the hell is using his phone?” my contact finally asked, voice cautious. I closed my eyes, fists clenching around the phone. Rage, disbelief, and fear churned inside me.
