"I'm here. I'm always here."
His eyes, which had been so blank, now seemed to hold a flicker of recognition. A tiny furrow appeared between his brows, a nascent sign of thought returning. But then, a subtle shift. His gaze drifted past her, to the wall, to the image of them. Not with warmth, but with a strange, almost analytical focus.
"That's... us," he whispered, his voice flat, devoid of the emotion that had just touched him. "From the park. File memory, activated."
