I had to keep my old life private. Any connection to you, Angel, Bev, or anyone from my old life would mean putting you all in danger, and I couldn’t risk that. So, I had to disconnect and disappear.”
“However, recent developments have ensured your safety. I’m now in a position of power and none of you will face danger from outside threats. I suppose it’s kind of like a promotion.”
