Wings Book Novels & Stories

She was upset and she had the right to be, but since she could feel my emotions, she couldn't be enraged further. I looked over her shoulder and wowed when I saw her wings for the first time. I read about it in the book but it was even more amazing to see in person. The main colour of her wings was lavender pink. The wings were large, translucent and substantial, with a petal-like design. The wings had a refined incurvation and were adorned with heart-shaped disc flowers with sweet-like petals and colours ranging from soft purples, pink, yellows, and blues. The wings emitted a soft, radiant glow and pink fairy dust fell from them with each flutter. The gentle glow gave her wings an air of tr

The audience erupted in thunderous applause, and several world-renowned dancers gave us rave reviews. Marissa wheeled me to center stage. Since the incident, this was my first time stepping onto a stage again as a choreography consultant. I bowed my head alongside the other dancers, grateful for the audience's support. This time, the flashing cameras and the eyes of strangers didn't scare me. I felt like I had found a new purpose. … Three years later, I choreographed a dance called "The Fallen Butterfly." I performed it entirely from my wheelchair and became the first dancer of my kind.

He took great care not to touch its wings as he tried to help it take flight once more. Damascus quietly whispered words of encouragement as it flapped it wings. The dove stopped and looked up at him as if it understood everything he had been saying. Damascus stopped talking and stared back at it. Suddenly the dove flapped its wings and left the cradle of his hands. It flew up and hovered for a moment. As if silently thanking him.

But if I told them the truth, maybe they would take me back to Thornwood. “A werewolf.” I said as loud as I could muster. Collective gasps broke out around me. Gasps of shock and disdain. I dragged my gaze around, confused by their reaction. Wait, he did say this was the ‘Dragon Keep’. The memory of when I came across a book about Dragons rushed into my mind. “...dragons are egoistic creatures who think they're better than everyone. They hung our kind for sport. They're monsters, Eloise…” Mae had told me that day.

That lengthy explanation, hopefully, would give these two some sense to think brilliantly now. "Ahm! That explained a lot of why the warriors here are scared of him. He told me once that he only needed his wings so he could fly again!" Alright, that gave me relief. Now, I knew exactly what to do. I got up and tore the giant rope that was wrapped around his mighty wings. The wings were small. They were like wings of angels, not dragons. I had no idea how this would work, but I had a huge faith that these treasured wings would wake him up and make him soar high in the sky again. I placed the wings beside him while King Logan and Alpha Adam made him lie on his stomach. I put the wings on his ba

Perfect. "I haven't seen your wings in a while." I started, he raised an eyebrow. "You bought a lot of canvas and I need to fill them up with something. I think your wings are perfect, can you show me?" Perhaps I was too keen as his brow went higher than normal. "Please," I added. He chortled. "You don't have to beg, baby, I can show you my wings." My smile widened and I waited and watched as a pair of dark, black wings emerged from his back. Curiously, I got behind him and traced my hand on his feathers. They were dark and pretty, what a waste.

Light exploded from my body, blinding white and pure gold mixing together in waves of power that made the air itself sing. Mom's hand found mine as wings of light spread from my shoulders, filling the tiny cell with their radiance. Time to fly. The wings weren't like anything I'd seen before. Not feathered like traditional angel wings. Not bat-like, like demon wings. These were pure energy, translucent and opalescent, shifting between gold and white with every pulse of power. “Impossible,” Azrael's voice came through the door again. “The dampening fields…” My power answered him, shattering every suppression device built into the walls. Pieces of tech rained down around us as the wings grew s

I have never seen such beautiful wings in my entire life. His crimson-red wings are described as metallic with each feather sharp like a precision blade. Each feather/blade has the top part crimson with the hairs or fibres sticking out of the sides, while the end of the blade itself is black. I really envy him. Why does he have to have such beautiful wings? Why is mine not like his? I cried in my mind and again looked up at him. He was waiting for me to go up. So I spread my wings too and flew up to complete the rest of the fight.

Then slowly—very slowly—they began to fold inward. Within seconds they disappeared entirely. The girl sagged with relief. Her eyes flicked back to me. “You… saw those.” “Yes.” “And you’re not—” “Panicking?” Bjorn offered helpfully. She nodded. I shook my head. “Angel wings aren’t unusual.” She blinked. “But… mine are.” That much was obvious. Still, that wasn’t something I needed to say yet. Instead I gave her something useful. “If you’re trying to understand them,” I said, “you should check the library.”
