" I paused for a moment, but I was very curious. The White Wings pack’s library was not unlike any library I have seen. The room was filled with shelves that went from the floor to the ceiling, packed tightly with books of all shapes and sizes. Sage guided me through the rows, stopping in front of a specific shelf. Without hesitation, he pulled out a book—and my breath hitched. It was identical to the one I was holding.

Wings came out of his back and where a man had once been, a dragon took flight. I watched William until he flew out of sight; the sun rising in the direction that he was flying. Seeing him like that had taken my breath away. It was one thing for them to tell me that they were dragons. To see it firsthand, I didn’t have words for how that made me feel.

Ilyana timidly touched the brunette's palms, and he, deftly picking her up, led her along. Once outside, William stopped. Black wings opened with a quiet rustle. The young man threw back his head and spread his arms to the sides. He made a powerful flap of his wings. A gust of wind blew through Ilyana's hair and clothes. A jerk - and the young man easily took off from the ground, soaring into the dark sky strewn with stars. His wings shone, shimmering in all shades of blue and purple.

Mane had just employed one of those many moves: Exploding Wings. Mane’s mumble was the trigger for the huge fiery wings that grew on his back. The wings were several dozens of meters long and several meters wide. When they appeared on Mane’s back they rose high into the sky, and flapped rapidly. With the beating of those wings, the cry of a Phoenix filled the ears of all who were here, and several large flames descended upon the retreating goblins, burning them all to a crisp. The fire was stronger, completely eliminating the goblins in less than a second.

Sylvain then fished out a small, leather-bound book from the pocket of the black sweats he wore and held it out to me, "Zora said she would work on translating it." I rose a brow and gingerly—so the book wouldn't get ruined—took the book from him. The brown leather was engraved with a pair of massive golden wings which had a smile splitting at my lips. I had never seen a fae with golden wings before, but we all knew, once one was born they would rule. The white-winged would no longer hold the throne, or in our case, my bloodline wouldn't hold the Throne captive.

A lady stood beside a cliff in the first drawing and jumped into the cliff in the second drawing. In the third drawing, she had grown wings while flying back up.

He was just standing in the sunlight, and Ravi squinted as he saw something gleaming in the man's hand. Ravi focused his vision further to ensure that the object the man held wasn't what he thought it was. The man's hand moved, still gazing, and Ravi's eyes widened when he could see clearly. Ravi froze, subconsciously gripping Raymond's wrist tightly. He saw a shimmering sword smeared with red liquid that was undoubtedly blood. But it didn't end there. Ravi froze further without realizing it, tightening his hold on Raymond's wrist as he observed the man's wings, which were white and almost identical to Raymond's. The wings flapped, and he flew away somewhere.

I said dropping a feather to glide downwards. A murmured growl acknowledged the hit, he apparently already knew. That growl gave me goose bumps. I watched in relief as he walked over by the door to grab the discarded pie bag and spilt coffee cup. Coffee had leaked out and made little tree root designs along the floor. I felt bad about that but he started it. Standing up he looked at me where I was perched. "Well, you are definitely not an Angel, not with those dirty wings, but, you're not simple, I'll give you that." The dig on my wings stung, they weren't the pretty ethereal white of an Angels but resembled melted cookies and cream ice cream.
