Wings Of Fire Snowfall Novels & Stories

Raymond's head was tilted upward, gazing at the dark sky with its twinkling stars. Ravi gazed at Raymond's outstretched wings, which slowly flapped with soft feathers dancing in the biting morning breeze. The black feathers of Raymond's wings were as dark as the night sky, and something stirred in Ravi's chest as he watched those wings, as if he was living in a fantasy tale he had once read. Ravi was captivated when Raymond turned and descended from the window, his eyes widening as he locked eyes with Ravi.

The wind changed. A whisper rose from the snow, soft at first, then stronger, until it became a rushing sound that filled the mountains. The clouds above swirled, pulling tight into a spiral of gray. Frost swept across the valley, glimmering in the air like dust. The fires below flickered. Then, all at once, they went out. The flames that had devoured the villages hissed and died. Smoke turned to steam. The songs and screams ceased, swallowed by silence. When it was over, the valley was white. Not with ash, but with snow.

Winter arrived in the Snow Fork Mountains with gentle snowfall and strong northern winds. Wayfinder moved camp further from the mountain and deeper into the forest, under the cover of trees. The mountains were dangerous this time of year, with avalanches and occasional flash floods that could decimate a camp like ours.

With a mighty thrust of his colossal wings, he managed to propel himself into the air, leaving behind a swirling trail of sand. He flew as fast as his wings could carry him, soaring high above the clouds. Gradually, the temperature dropped, transforming his surroundings into a snowy expanse of towering mountains. The air grew colder with each passing moment, and his breath formed misty plumes against the freezing climate. In the distance, a raging snowstorm loomed, casting an ominous veil over the towering peaks. Undeterred by the approaching tempest, Lucian pressed on, his wings slicing through the frigid gusts with unwavering determination. But despite his formidable size and strength, eve

As the first snowflake settled, it whispered secrets of a winter tale waiting to unfold. First snowfalls usually come lightly to Sequim. The snow is soft as it glides down towards the cold earth. This year, however, it came in a blizzard. Snow dropped like an anvil, with ice forming instantaneously along the roads and trails. The wind blew so hard that the forest wolf patrol on duty had to seek shelter. They couldn’t see two feet before them, even with their werewolf eyesight. Thinking no one would be out in this storm, they hunkered down in the small town, warming themselves by their fires and watching movies to pass the time. They didn’t expect a young witch secretly making her way through

A few weeks passed uneventfully until the season of the island gradually changed. Winter was close, and it could be felt in the chilly air. Flakes of snow began to drop from the sky, tiny silver flakes that melted the moment they touched the ground. The sky turned really cloudy, hiding the sun behind a thick curtain of fluffy white clouds. Layla who had never seen snow in her entire life was ecstatic at the sight of the silver flakes. She stretched her hand over the balcony in Riven's room and tried to capture the tiny flakes that fell from the sky.

"I don't eat people." Lycian smirked. "Not yet." The flight was silent after that. Arielle watched the clouds change. They went from fluffy white to heavy gray. Then, the snow started. It wasn't a gentle snowfall. It was a blizzard. White chaos swirling outside the glass. The temperature gauge on the dashboard dropped. Zero. Minus ten. Minus twenty. "Welcome to Winterhold," Lycian muttered. He pushed the stick forward. The jet dove. Through the clouds.

I needed clarity, to know the exact point he started fooling me. In seconds, different weather reports popped up. From snow warnings, to storm advisories, and even flight cancellations. I scrolled carefully, to get all the details I needed. And then my stomach dropped at what I saw. Nothing was severe enough to the point of losing two weeks. Or a whole month in the dark.

I look up as something catches my eye outside the window as lightning erupts from the darkening skies, I hear Deliah call my name as a massive ball of flames makes it's way towards us before it changes into the shape of a man. "Tyber" I yell as I throw myself through the doors and onto the terraces, there's no way he's going to take my Son not while I'm still breathing. I hit the wall of flames hard, as the heat bubbles around us and we both fall from the terraces, and onto the cliff face below. I feel the burn of the shift as I let out a mighty roar, my wings preventing me from hitting the rock face, Tyber separates from me as he glides along with the clouds in a ball of flames.

I swear I can feel my feathers freezing. My wings seem to grow stiffer with each passing minute, and the scarf wrapped around my nose and mouth does practically nothing to protect me from the harsh wind. Icy crystals blow into my face and cut at every inch of exposed skin. I can barely see anything through the flurry of snowflakes but hope flares in my chest at the sight of a vague shadow in the white cloud. As I get closer, I sigh in relief. The rock wouldn't be much warmer but at least it would give me a little shelter against the storm.
