Mane had just employed one of those many moves: Exploding Wings. Mane’s mumble was the trigger for the huge fiery wings that grew on his back. The wings were several dozens of meters long and several meters wide. When they appeared on Mane’s back they rose high into the sky, and flapped rapidly. Yet their beating didn’t lift Mane up or take him into the sky. With the beating of those wings, the cry of a Phoenix filled the ears of all who were here, and several large flames descended upon the retreating goblins, burning them all to a crisp. The fire was stronger, completely eliminating the goblins in less than a second.

“But you’ll be gone.” And then I moved. Faster than his eyes could track, faster than the witches could react. My fire took over. No more compromises. No more second chances. No more mercy. Spitfire had no idea what he was actually planning and it was better that way. "Auras don't weigh anything, you big idiot." Spitfire snarled through gritted teeth. The wings were starting to flicker. They were getting farther and farther from the bridge. "I can't let go of you to snatch any of these demons who are falling past us." Spitfire had pulled them out of the range of where the demons who were still tumbling off the bridge were falling. Not one of them had wings or any other power that Spitfire could steal to help them out of this predicament. The no-fur was sweating, straining to keep the wings whole and get them back to safety.

It was still smoking and I could see that it was burning. "I'm not worthy. And I am afraid to drop that thing." I answered him. Not worthy my ass. Damon’s POV The fire hadn’t died down. It lived in my blood now—twisting, scorching, branding every breath with rage. But it wasn’t the flames on the battlefield that haunted me. It was Rhea. The way her wings tore through her skin like they’d been there all along. The silver runes dancing along her arms, matching the ancient symbols carved into the MoonStone vaults. She wasn’t just powerful, she was becoming something else. Something even the Eclipse Coven feared.

I look behind me and see that the ropes on her tail have been partially burned away, and as I get to my feet and run up her back, I begin wrapping her tail with ropes again. This time, rather than blowing her fire on me, she begins heating her body, making the temperature of her back much too hot. I feel blisters forming on the bottom of my feet, but I refuse to give up. When I get to where her wings insert into her back, she uses them to knock me around, trying to get me off of her. I pull one of the ropes off my chest and swing it around her wing as she sends me flying again. I use my element to wrap the rope around her wing, then I use that leverage to yank myself onto her back.
