When she sat down, she faced me so I turned to her too, then she winked at me. Right now I confirmed that it’s not only my imagination. I saw it with my own two eyes. Is she flirting with me? I immediately faced her and said, “I’m sorry miss but I’m not into that kind of stuff.” I said to her. She looked at me innocently, like she didn’t know what am I saying. I chuckled, “I am referring to stuff like flirting.” Upon saying that, she burst out of laughter. Am I wrong? Then why in the world she would wink at me?! “W-Why? am I wrong?” I asked her.

I wink at him, hoping he gets a sense of what I am hinting at by ‘royal walls. He blinks at me, and I feel the need to wink again to drive the point across. “Did something lodge in your eye, Miss Emily?” he asks. Heck! Couldn’t the man get a subtle hint? “No. I am asking you to spend the night with me. No need to beat around the bush, right?” I wink at him again. The wrinkles in his forehead deepen as he regards me. “I really think there is something wrong with your eyes. They keep twitching. Do you need me to take a look?”

He huffed angrily, turning his face away. "You know you're so cute when your jealous, yeah? Stop trying to make me wet down there by acting cute. I might want to devour you if you make that face one more time, and you know I'm not strong yet for that," She flirted with him, biting her bottom lip seductively, and his heart skipped. "Whoa! I had no idea my wife is this good at flirting. I don't mind going for a round," He winked at her, and she rolled her eyes.

If he shrugged one more time, I was going to personally remove his shoulders. I narrowed my eyes at him. “Fitch, you’d better not mean what I think you mean.” Apparently my threat lacked any real force, because he— looked up from his plate and winked at me. And then he smiled. Bright. Reckless. Confident to the point of absurdity. Apparently, winking and grinning really could exist at the same time—and together they were about as powerful as a nuclear weapon. I felt a faint jolt run through my body, my cheeks heating up.

I exhaled slowly, pressing a hand to my temple. “She’s bold.” He looked up at me, his expression unreadable. “She’s just being nice.” “Is that what you call it?” I said before I could stop myself. His brow arched slightly. “What would you call it?” I stared at the condensation on my glass. “Flirting.” He leaned back, folding his arms. “And that bothers you because…?”
