I might want to devour you if you make that face one more time, and you know I'm not strong yet for that," She flirted with him, biting her bottom lip seductively, and his heart skipped. "Whoa! I had no idea my wife is this good at flirting. I don't mind going for a round," He winked at her, and she rolled her eyes.

If he shrugged one more time, I was going to personally remove his shoulders. I narrowed my eyes at him. “Fitch, you’d better not mean what I think you mean.” Apparently my threat lacked any real force, because he— looked up from his plate and winked at me. And then he smiled. Bright. Reckless. Confident to the point of absurdity. Apparently, winking and grinning really could exist at the same time—and together they were about as powerful as a nuclear weapon. I felt a faint jolt run through my body, my cheeks heating up.
