I had loved Grayson being the Beta and Zac's friends, but I'd be lying if I wouldn't love for Connor and Audire to live on our floor. The double doors to the kitchen swing open as a staff member wheels out a delicious-looking three-tiered cake covered in tiny dino figures and a multicolored number 1 candle blazes on top. Pointing to the cake and oohing and awing for Tates sake, Audrie waddles back to us, Tate in one arm, a plate of fries in the other.

She takes a fork and uses it to put a piece of cantaloupe in her mouth as if she never said anything. If it wasn't for my temporarily black computer screen, I wouldn't have seen the glare appear on my face in her direction. "Anyway, what do you need, ma'am?" She asks. "I need you to call Skippy and Mia and ask them to pull up any and all information on Sebastian Harrison and bring it to me. No questions asked, please."

Crap! “What can I do for you, Mayor?” Dax could probably hear her sarcasm. She didn’t care though. She was not as wealthy and powerful as his family, but he’d been good with her. Dax even pulled a few strings for her application to get the slot at the hospital where she’d been working as an ER nurse. “You didn’t recognize Tripp Wrylee, did you?” His name alone made her heart erratic. “I recognized him.” How could she not?

The picture of her dancing with Felix would no doubt grace the cover of at least one tabloid first thing tomorrow morning.
