Stella’s POV We run towards the edge of town towards the fire. I see my rune symbols and stop. I know they were unable to get past them. Then I see them. Four witches and a Warlock walk towards us. One of the witches says a spell to extinguish the fire. The smoke starts to disappear into the air.

It was winter period when I first found my mate, she was beautiful and fair, had skin as white as snow, her hair was as flowy as velvet, and she had the voice of an angel. Perhaps, I was biased because she was mine, but it was the truth, one thing that kept me from pursuing her at first was that she was a witch. We werewolves and witches were not that close, we tend to get on each other’s nerves, so I knew my father would not approve, he was big on keeping to the rules.

Soon enough, she picked up a pen and scribbled his name under. Lord Xandros. Yep. It was equal now. She giggled and dropped the pen, walking towards the shelf. Her eyes fell on the book. Her finger swiped through the sharp edge of the book and it cut her, a little blood forming on the top. Anna clicked her tongue as she cleaned the blood off and continued reading.

She raises her hand high to the sky and a black dust hurl in circles in her hand, materializing into a large book with covers made of skin and leather. “What is it?” I asked. “My book,” the White Witch answered plainly. “It gave me some insights on what sort of magic we are dealing with.” The White Witch wondered off into the forest again, reading. “Where do you think she is off to now?” Conrad asked. “I don’t know,” I replied. It was getting cold but cold was nothing to wolves especially under the full moon. “What do you think she mean by ‘intriguing and shocking at the same time’?” I asked Conrad.

Ruth ended the call and left Alex and Lee with an astounded expression. “Oh God.” Their minds were about to melt down. Werewolves, vampires, witches—were all real. It was a horror story. Half a page of this book that she glanced at last year made her have sleepless nights. This book served the purpose of building the heart's strength and courage.
