My name is Stella Basile im twenty one. I once lived a normal life. A normal life for a witch that is. My family were part of a large coven in Maine. I loved it there, we all did. When I was sixteen, everything changed. My family calls it the event. I know cheesy right? It was definitley a life-changing event. One that dispersed everyone and our coven was no more. I mostly do not remember what happened and no one will talk about it.

The vampires gathered inside the palace. Their screams and cheers.. Mateo's instructions. The number picking... The vague memory of hundreds of girls and women standing and cowering in fear. Erica's eyes were closed, her lips were trembling as they mumbled some inaudible words and her face were already getting pale too. After a few more minutes, a loud scream left her mouth and she fell to the ground with a loud thud. Her body was trembling on the ground and after she seemed to regain herself, she looked around and hurriedly stood up. She had appeared into the room by creating a vortex but she didn't look like she wanted to leave by using the vortex again when she ran to the window. I wish the gods or ancestors or whoever was in charge of this distribution will look down on me and grant me the gift of gab so I can convince the rigid elders of my kingdom to grant me permission to leave. He staggered back and loosened his grip, which allowed her to break free. Knowing that she didn't stand a chance at repossessing her sword, she pulled one of the smaller daggers out of her belt and launched it at the vampire, who had now regained his focus and was heading for her. The dagger struck him in the heart and a loud shriek escaped him as he burst into flames, ending up as nothing more than a pile of ash within seconds.
