Branches whipped against their faces, roots almost made them trip, and distant voices of the witches whispered, cackled and tracked their scent. “Where to?” A Voice said cackling,their heads snapped back at once, the witch was floating above them some distance away from them ,Elena began to sob loudly.

They were all here, suffering, for me. At what point will all this end? At what point really does this become a lost cause? Right then I had a harder time fighting the voices in my head than actually trying to heal myself, get back up on my feet and fight the voices outside. I don't know how much time we can give you, and from the looks of it, the witches seem to have recovered. They're chanting now. And right on cue I started hearing them. Their eerie mutterings had started again. Vaguely sounding like distant rumbling of a swarm of bees. Not fully coherent but the vibrations making your ear tingle and not in a good way.

He had never met a witch even once in his life… until now. “Sriwijaya Witch.” Rob spat forward in disgust. Within a few meters, the male witch stopped and cocked his head quietly. He exclaimed in a clear and emotionless voice, “You are allowed to turn around and discourage yourself from going wherever you are going now.” Rob took a step forward. “Since when did this street belong to you, traitor?” The witch smiled crookedly. “Since The Cursed and Wolvire gave me orders to stop you.” Saga and Justin gasped when they heard the word wolvire mentioned.

They stare at me in horror. Then, I spoke dangerously, "I will kill you both if you don't stop." I have four different voices coming from my mouth, from my wolf's spirit Xandra, my vampire spirit Val, my witch spirit Willow, and mine. Their hearts beat at a quicker pace in fear. Then there's a banging on the door, but they can't open it. I eyed the two wolves in front of me. "You do not fight in front of me again if you wish to live," I uttered venomously.

My breathing changed. Stop. Stop talking about me like I wasn’t here. I took a step forward. The water moved with me. The witch raised her hand and started chanting—her voice spitting curses in a language I didn’t understand, but my bones recognized. It hurt. Something inside me pulled tight like a wire about to snap. “Stop,” I said, voice low. The witch didn’t. I took another step. “Kai,” Kylan hissed. “She’s gonna scream again.”

In short, I only open my mouth saying the word without sound. “don't talk in a loud voice, the vampire girl is hearing us,” I said and at first, Warg was confused but he understood after. What I was trying to say. “What is happening?” He asked without a single sound that came out from his mouth. “I don't know I just drifted so we could escape, when they hit you with a knife that has a poison, don't worry you already drink a cure, you would be ok now,” I said still without a sound.

Voithós said, completely shocking me with the compliment. "Thank you." I answered back. "But be careful with your new ability, don't let your mouth go causing trouble for yourself. Always remember to be careful what you say." Voithós said in a light, joking manner but I knew that he was serious about the warning. But I honestly have nothing to worry about, I'm not that type of girl. Almost 19 years of being mute and I'm finally granted speech, I'm definitely sure that hurting people with my words wouldn't be the first thing on my to do or rather, to say list.

I didn't feel anything but the fire in my chest and the wolf in my veins. Behind me, my wolves flooded the corridor. I had called them without thinking...telepathically, instinctively, the way an Alpha called his pack when danger threatened. Kade. Gregor. Six enforcers who had been stationed near the east wing. They moved fast, silent and professionally. Their blades were drawn and their eyes were hard. The remaining four vampires raised their hands...not in surrender, in recognition. They knew they were outmatched. "Alpha," one of them said, his voice smooth, accented, like honey poured over gravel. "This is a misunderstanding."

My communication slate vibrated against my belt, a secure frequency flashing from the western borders. "Are your tracks clean, klinton?" the voice on the low frequency had the heavy, gravelly accent of the wild rings. "The line is solid, Vance," I replied in flawless Ustranasion, the high language of the northern alliances. "I am currently nesting in the old family den at Vinqlo. A minor pest tried to breach my bedding tonight, but the head has been cleared from the stone. Why has your frequency broken my watch?"

My father asked another question, "How do you plan to handle any potential conflicts that may arise between our packs and the witches?" Kai's beta, a tall, imposing man with a stern expression, spoke up. "We've established a clear communication channel with the witches, and we're working together to establish a mutually beneficial agreement. We're confident that we can resolve any conflicts peacefully." Again, I sensed no deception through the mind link. Kai and his beta were telling the truth.
