“Being a witch is more than just waving your wand around.” Mistress Sungul would always say, her own wand poised between her fingers. “We are what mages dream to be. We are what priests fear.” It was almost like a mantra. As Sungul leisurely paced around the room, soaking in my blank stares and gazing at the mist that oozed from her wand, she would repeat herself. Sometimes muttering so low that I had to strain to hear her. Usually, she was boisterous, loudly jabbering on about our roles as witches.

He would kill people he disliked with only one word, "I don't like his face" no one knew what he meant or what kind of face that he disliked, but they knew they should avoid him. And what was more mysterious to Lord Mike was that no one knew who he is, whether he is a human or a sorcerer or whether he is a mythical being.

My eyes were fixated on the witch at the top of the stairs thinking of all the ways I could kill her. 'Her blood will taste amazing,' Cinnabar was huffing and pacing in my mind. He was the only reason I'd made small progress of moving my arms. We could feel through the connection that Eloise was in pain. She was distressed. 'The pups,' my wolf growled out. A snarl ripped through my lips sounding muffled but loud enough to make the witch turn to us once again. She rolled her orange eyes at me stepping down the stairs with her arms crossed.

The most important thing about them seems to be that they are a part of the world's rarest group – witches and wizards. Witches and wizards seem like nothing but a distant reality to the life that I’ve led. In a way, it sort of makes sense that werewolves would see them differently than ordinary humans. I’ve never met a witch or wizard myself, but as their names suggest they are born with magical powers. They belong both to the humans and to the supernatural, placing them somewhere between human and werewolf. I shake myself out of my reverie and return to the present. No wonder you’re so weak.” The witch screams and launches a fireball at Elina, and then around a hundred of them fly at her at once. Blast after blast fires pushing her back against them as they explode. She dodged and deflected, but one of them hits her in her stomach and sends her flying back. My heart drops, and strength rise as I watch her fall and a pile of rubble fall on her. “Elina!!” I cry out. I shift with the strength I have and lunge at the witch, but she sends a blast my way hitting me in my hind leg. I yelp in pain and fall to the ground and change back to my human form.

Destiny works in strange ways, the witches and the wolves have been enemies for a long time, neither cross each other's boundaries and it is highly forbidden to ever mate with each other. Over the years, witches have been mated to wolves, but once the council finds out, they cast a spell to sever the bond immediately. The spell works, but the victim's life changes completely and he or she becomes an outcast, the spell also weakens his or her original powers causing such a person to become weak.
