Author’s POV Elara tossed and turned in her bed, sweat beading across her forehead. The room was silent, but her mind was alive with unrest. And then all of a sudden, everything around her disappeared. She stood barefoot in the middle of a misty forest, surrounded by whispering trees bathed in silvery light. The air was cool, and everything shimmered with an otherworldly glow. Elara looked down at herself; she was dressed in white, her hair loose, flowing. Confused, she turned in a slow circle.

( I miss you ) (I want you to sleep beside me) (I miss you, let's meet and playing horse ride again) (My bed is empty without you!) (How much soap should I finish? I'm suffering) (Have my seeds sprouted yet? If not, let's scatter again! I don't mind) "What a perverted man! Oh- how could I have thought at ease if he bothered me every day with these damn cards!" "And what is this? I told you I don't like flowers, he thought I was a grave, every day sent this many flowers. Oh- my gosh!" Amanda is a monologue.

She pats her abdomen for emphasis. Once she closes the door to her room behind her, she finds herself pacing back and forth, desperate for something to do. She can't seem to sit for too long. Her eye catches a book she's been wanting to read. Reading hasn't exactly fit her mood lately. In one swift motion, she grabs the novel off the shelf, jumps into bed, and opens to the first chapter.

But most of all— I hated that she kept surviving. I crossed my arms and stared out at the skyline. This time, I would do it right. No rushed moves. No mistakes. No sloppy plans. I would be patient. Careful. Precise. I smiled slowly. Coldly. Amelia had no idea what was coming. And that made the thought even sweeter. Everything was finally falling back into place. And soon— Amelia’s world would begin to fall apart. * * *

All I could hear was that song. All I could see was Amelia smiling at me as if I were the safest place in the world. When had she stopped looking at me that way? No, I already knew the answer. She stopped after I gave her too many reasons not to. --- That evening, I arrived home before Amelia. For once, I wasn't carrying work. No laptop. No files. No phone pressed against my ear. Just one thought. I wanted to remember the man she had fallen in love with. And maybe...

"I want it all by morning. Everything."

Zen clenches his jaw while watching Isabelle exit the room; he grabs a pen and stabs the wooden top of the desk. He closes his eyes and breathes heavily trying to relax. “She doesn’t love you, she doesn’t want you. The moment she finds Daniel she will leave you and you will be alone, all alone once again. There’s no one for you, you are alone. ALONE!!” He yells and swipes his hand across the top of the table making all the files and his laptop fly off it.
