Woke Up With Blurry Vision Novels & Stories

BLAISE It’s cold. I blink, eyelids heavy. The right underside of my neck aches with a dull pain, as if I’d slept on it wrong last night. There are blurs of gold, lines streaking vertically across my vision. I blink again, eyes creasing together. The lines slowly come into focus. At first, I’d thought that I was dreaming.

My breathing was slow but rasps. My body strolled back to consciousness. My eyes felt very thick as if an extra weight laid on them. Each motion I made to open my eyes, my eyelids felt like they were tearing them off but I managed to open them and then came another challenge-my vision was slurry. Unclear as my sight was, nothing felt recognizable.

No one responds. My vision is blurred, something I'd grown used to. This time it felt different. Like a mist covering my eyes but not touching my skin. I blink several times, waiting for the dizziness that usually accompanies the action. It doesn't come. I hesitate before bringing a hand up to wipe at my eyes. The movement is sluggish; and my arm stings but it doesn't feel heavy. I'd grown used to the heaviness of my own body, I realize. An ache does form, greater than I've felt in awhile. It stretches across the muscles of my arm, accompanying the sting from my healing injury. My eyes hurt as I drag a fist over the lids but my vision clears. Clearer than I've felt in who knows how long.

My vision became blurry, as I fell down to the ground helpless. Someone was watching. I couldn’t identify who it was.

I was woken the following morning by an alarm, and wondered where it was coming from since I hadn't set an alarm. Sitting up, I looked at Marcus and discovered that he had set the alarm for me. This was laughable but he did it because he thought I would be stressed. "Good morning," I said, giving him a peck on the lip, then I got down to walk to the bathroom when suddenly my vision became blurry. "What's happening to me?" I said holding my head as I stood still. Marcus caught me before my back could hit the floor then he placed me on the bed.

I would never tell them 'goodnight' too, over my dead body. *** "Hmmm..." A soft, involuntary sound escaped my lips as I felt the morning sun directly hitting my face, its warmth breaking through the remnants of my sleep at this hour. I tried to turn away and drift back into sleep, wanting to hide from the reality of waking up in this room, but the ambient noise drifting in from the open veranda kept pulling me back to full consciousness. Slowly, I fluttered my eyes open. At first, my vision was incredibly blurry and hazy, a natural consequence of just waking up from a long, deep slumber. But within a few seconds, the fog cleared and everything sharpened into focus.

I woke up in the medical centre. Blinking blearily, it took me a while to return to myself. My vision was blurred, hazy streaks of light and dark and other things, colourful things that I could not yet truly recognise, spun together and made my temples throb.

When I wake up, it feels as though I've been hit by a ton of bricks. My head is dizzy, and my vision blurry. The events leading up to this are foggy. I don't understand where I am, or what happened. I try to move my hands, which is when I noticed that I'm chained to a bed. I attempt to sit up, but my head begins to spin, forcing me back onto the bed. I try to look around the room for any clues. But my vision is so blurry, that it's hard to distinguish anything familiar.

I think, groaning as I crack the bones in my neck and focus my attention back on the road that has the outhouse on its end. My vision sharpens even more as time sneaks by, and I blink rapidly to adjust to a view without minute smudges or blurs. It works, but the lightness in my head does not disappear. Mikael had commented that whatever I'd been given after I fell unconscious was the reason for my blurred vision. So, I'm pretty sure the theory also applies to my faint dizziness.

I yelled, but as he was about to hold my arms again, my vision suddenly started to become blurry and my head couldn't stop spinning. I was losing my mind and in no time, everything turned blank. ****** My eyes fluttered as the rays of the light shone on my face. I tried to get up, but the heavy ache in my head forced me to lie back on the bed. I shut my eyes tight as I was trying to remember what had happened before. I suddenly remembered everything and my body abruptly stood up, like it wasn't just having a headache some while ago. "You're awake!" The cold voice softly rang across my room, making me flinch at the sound of it.
